Our New Logo A good logo is the visual face of a company. It has several different identities, like expressing company culture, communicating with other identity design works, and connecting company with the users. This is our new logo which I designed for the Sega company. The new look of the logo shows the upward tendency, which also shows the power to get to the next level.

The Anatomy of New Logo The anatomy shows how the logo is organized. The symbol comes from the letter S and combines with two pyramidal shapes. The end of the world mark has a 45° angle which is the same as symbol’s angle. Also, all the letters fit in the squares.

Color Palette The color for the logo expresses the brand soul—‘Get to the Next Level’. I chose the blue color from the sea and technology which shows a powerful, wild and new world. The new brand encourages users to explore the outside world and change their lifestyle.

Typography Standards It’s good to use typography to draw users’ attention. The fonts matches the purpose of Sega which encourages users to ‘get to the next level’. The font of logo is Orbitron which shows the OLD gaming culture. To connect to the logo font, I choose Blender as the main font used for title. Franklin Gothic is used for content introduction, which continues to maintain a high profile and appears in a variety of media, from books to billboards.
