Bretaña
Typology: Cultural Center
Location:Bretaña, Cali, Valle del Cauca
his cultural center is conceived with the purpose of reactivating and revitalizing its immediate surroundings. It is proposed as a local node thatstrengthensthecity’snetworkofculturalfacilities,addressingthe educational, recreational, and social needs of the neighborhood’s residents.
Itisorganizedaroundtworectangularvolumesconnectedbyabridge, which acts as a symbolic threshold between public space and the interior of the building. Pedestrian-friendly arrival plazas invite gatheringandcoexistence,fosteringamoreactiveandinclusiveurban fabric.
The program includes workshops, an auditorium, library, gallery, café, and flexible-use spaces. Natural light, captured through skylights, not onlyilluminatesbutalsodefinestheidentityoftheproject,becominga constantpresencethataccompaniesandtransformsthespaces.

Atelier 45°
Typology:Artist residency

ThisprojectstemsfromtheanalysisoftheCasadelaQueja,awork byarchitectBenjamínBarneyinCali,withtheaimofunderstanding and reinterpreting its compositional, technical, and spatial strategies. Based on this study, an artist residence is proposed under a coliving approach, enabling shared spaces for creation, rest,andexchange.
The proposal merges form, technique, and aesthetics, precisely structured through a 1.60 x 1.60 m grid and the use of 45° pitched roofs elements that define its architectural character. The project is organized into three pavilions arranged around a central courtyard, which acts as the hierarchical core of the ensemble, articulatingspatialandvisualrelationshipsfromallinteriorpoints.











pre-existingstructuresandnewspacesaimedatstrengtheningitseducationalandcommunityroles.Amongthe proposedadditionsareabohío(atraditionalgatheringspace)andacompostinglaboratory,acknowledgingthe school’svalueasnotonlyaneducationalfacilitybutalsoapublicandcommunalhubforlocalresidents.
The proposal is organized through accessible circulation paths using ramps, ensuring universal mobility and inclusionthroughouttheentirecomplex.Oneofthesite’smainchallengesisitssteepandirregulartopography, composed of sharply sloped hills. In response, the design adopts a strategy of embedding the architecture into theterrain,integratingitwiththelandscapewhileminimizingvisualandenvironmentalimpact.
Organicformsareusedtofollowthenaturalcontoursoftheland,withtheplacementofthebuildingsguidedby theexistingtreemasses.Theproject'scoreobjectiveistoestablishanarchitecturethatengagesindialoguewith thelandscape;wherebuiltelementsdonotdominatetheenvironmentbutratheradapttoitinarespectfuland harmoniousmanner.

Multifamily Residence
Typology:Multifamily housing complex / Social Interest Housing
Location:Cali, Valle del Cauca
This project is conceived under the principles of affordable and priority interest housing (Social Interest Housing – SIH and Priority Interest Housing – PIH), responding to a hightraffic urban frontage with mixed residential and commercialuses.Itproposesacontinuousgroundfloorthat reactivates the area through commercial spaces and sharedzonesthatmediatebetweenpublicandprivatelife.
Flexible housing modules are arranged in a staggered verticalconfiguration,allowingadaptabilityandintroducing movement to the façade through balconies, green roofs, andhabitableterraces.
Integratedwithvegetationthroughout,theprojectpromotes a sense of harmony and collectivity, reinforced by communalspacesbetweenbuildings.

A Landscape of signs

A Landscape of Signs is an installation, assembly, and exhibition that brings togethertheworkdevelopedwithinthecoursesHistoryofPlaceIVandTheoryof the Modern Condition I, part of the Architecture program at Universidad de San Buenaventura.
Theexhibitionwascarriedoutintwophases.Thefirsttookplaceincollaboration with the History IV course, in the atelier located at Casa Obeso, where studies focusedontheclassicalhistoryofAthenswerepresented,alongwithanalysesof citiessuchasVeneto,Ticino,Berlin,NewYork,andfinally,Cali.
ThesecondphasewasheldinagalleryinCali’sHistoricCenter,emphasizingthe content of the Theory II course, focused on modern architecture and its relationshiptoformalmemoryandthematerialimpressionasautopiaprojected onthehorizon.
Both the research and the exhibition assembly were carried out directly by the studentsparticipatinginthesecoursesandmlrg.academia.
