We make clothes for the present that illustrate the past...

We partner with artisan groups - original Mexican Otomi artisans to be specific - who have been doing this before color screen cellphones came along, yes indeed, there was a time before that.

We also know who makes your clothes and it’s about time you know too.

It’s common to come across similar designs or techniques only to find out that they merely imitate the original. Even some of the handmade work in Mexico is not done by the original Mexican Otomi artisans.

We look to empower the authentic Otomi women and bring work back to them. Also when done, fabric smells like delicious coffee.

Each piece is hand embroidered with 100% cotton thread and signed off by a different Mexican Otomi artisan making every piece unique.

Mexican Otomi Artisan. noun [oto-mi] Artisan embroiderer from the otomí–tepehua region.

Embroidery has been part of their culture since the 1900’s.

We owe them this beauty.
