The Parks & Recreation Department is responsible for the city’s parks and open spaces, trails, boulevards, community pool and splash pad, events and programs, the Jersey Meadow Golf Course, and management of city facilities.

As public servants, we as a department always strive to make an impact through experiences, beautification, infrastructure and customer service.

We as a department love using our events and programs as ways to bring our community together. We will always strive to make Jersey Village the best place to play!

OPPORTUNITIES

Fall Frolic

EEVENT DESCRIPTION: Fall Frolic is the signature Halloween event in the City of Jersey Village. For sponsors this event is a great way to connect in an intimate way with the Jersey Village community and surrounding areas. This event consists of a Trunk-or-Treat, DJ, Face Painters and Food Trucks. This event is free to attend and typically sees an attendance of 2,000 persons. Majority of those who attend this event are residents of Jersey Village and the communities that are zoned to Post Elementary. The event will take place at The Civic Center on October 27th from 6:00PM-10:00PM.

EVENT DESCRIPTION: Holiday in the Village is the signature Christmas event in the City of Jersey Village. For sponsors this event is an excellent way to raise brand awareness in Jersey Village and surrounding areas. The event consists of 30,000lbs of snow, Santa, Food Trucks, Holiday Market, The Acton Academy Business Fair and the Parade of Lights! This event is free to attend and typically sees an attendance of 3,000 persons

EEVENT DESCRIPTION: Founders Day is the premier event hosted by the City of Jersey Village annually. The event is a celebration of the rich history found here in the City. This event provides sponsors a unique opportunity to connect with Jersey Village residents on a more personal level since the event in itself is a celebration of the City. This event consists of Carnival Rides, Carnival Games, Live Entertainment, Bounce Houses, Chili Cook Off, Cake Walk, Bingo, 70 volunteers and FIREWORKS! This event is free to attend. However, there are certain activities that require a wristband purchase in order to participate.

FIREWORKS - $5,000 | Sponsor the fireworks show at Founders Day!

EEVENT DESCRIPTION: The July 4th celebration is the signature Independence Day celebration in the City of Jersey Village. For sponsors this event is a great opportunity to connect with Jersey Village residents and surrounding communities. This event consists of The July 4th Parade, Concert at the Park, Food Trucks, Bounce Houses, BBQ competition, Lemonade Stand Competition and FIREWORKS! This event is free to attend. This event typically has an attendance of 6,000-8,000 people. The majority of those who attend this event are Jersey Village residents or are a part of the surrounding areas. The event will take place on July 4th from 6:00-9:30PM, fireworks conclude this event.
