The Newmarket Autumn Festival has concluded with resounding success, marking a week of vibrant community spirit and memorable events.

The festival kicked off with a high-energy night at the Rock Bar with a 45 Card Drive, setting the tone for a week filled with excitement and camaraderie. The atmosphere in the West End was electrifying, especially at the Spin City Funfair, which drew crowds with its thrilling rides and lively entertainment.

Family fun was at the forefront of the festivities with the Family Fun Day at the Newmarket GAA pitch. The day featured an engaging interpub football competition, where Hourigan’s Bar triumphed over the Rock Bar, showcasing local sporting talent and team spirit.

The festival continued with a series of enjoyable events, including the 3 Ball Scramble at the Pitch and Putt Course. Ann Keane, Patrick Kelly, and Ben Murphy emerged as the winners, adding a competitive edge to the week’s activities.

The excitement didn’t end there. Scanlon’s Bar hosted an exhilarating rings competition, with Nancy Lehane taking the top prize. The Histreet Quiz Night was another highlight, attracting enthusiastic participants and creating an engaging atmosphere for all. Darts enthusiasts were treated to an action-packed night at Hourigan’s Bar, where Pat Kelly and Billy Newman claimed victory. However, the crowning event of the festival was undoubtedly the Music Bingo Night at Hourigan’s Bar. The event was a hit with an electric atmosphere and a full house enjoying a night of musical fun.

The festival wrapped up with a delightful BBQ at the Rock Bar, where the pleasant weather and great food rounded off a week of celebration and community spirit.

The Newmarket Festival Committee extends heartfelt thanks to all those who contributed to the festival’s success.
