“It’s Gonna Be One Hell Of A Do!” -Dromtarriffe GAA Launch Their Mock Wedding Fundraiser

By TADHG CURTIN

Dromtarriffe GAA Club were delighted after the fantastic launch of their upcoming Mock Wedding Fundraiser which was held at the Sandpit House on Sep 14th. The big day will be on in the Charleville Park Hotel on Saturday, November 30th. Funds raised will be going to development of a sportsfield.

The following is a message from the club, expressing gratitude to those involved with, and details on, the event:

“A huge thank you to Eimear Lane and all at The Sandpit House for hosting, decorating, finger food and sponsoring the Insta frame from Let’s Party Duhallow Tom Corbett and Tadhg Curtin for their wonderful photos, Mick O Connell for being MC, Darragh Crowley for music, Dick Sullivan on sound, Tadhg Curtin on IT.

A massive thank you to the Bridal party for being up for some light hearted fun and putting yourself in the spotlight for our entertainment! Without all of you and the huge community spirit in Dromtarriffe parish, this fundraiser would never have taken off. To every single person who came out on the night in their droves to have some fun, you all made an amazing night...and a late one! May we also say what fine singers ye are!

This wouldn’t be possible without the brains, relentless enthusiasm, and dedication of Marie Kelleher and her committee. Deirdre O’Mahony and Ger Tancred for the ticket sales and admin on the night. We hope we haven’t forgotten anyone but... we promise you all the best is yet to come! If you enjoyed the launch night, you will not want to miss the wedding!

Tickets are €50 per person. They can be bought from Eimear at The Sandpit, Nora Dennehy at Moll Carthys Bridge Bar, Kilcorney. Afterwards, if any still remain, they will be on sale from the Dromtarriffe Club Rooms on Thursday 3 Oct, 7-8pm.

We wish our beautiful and fun Bride Mary Pat O’Keeffe a very speedy recovery. We have no doubt a drop of holy water from our dodgy Fr Jack (John Linehan) would go a long way too. We are wishing you all the best Mary Pat and can’t wait to see you soon.”
