Banteer Sportsfield

The recent major €2.2 million project was completed with the new astro pitch, community building and extension to the existing walks officially opened in Jan 2023. To date, the centre is very busy with various activities and up to 20 games some weeks.

This facility provides sports facilities for all groups, walking tracks, digital hub, cafe and museum area and when combined with other local facilities gives local families a great quality of life.

All these facilities are now very important in our rural community and its important we support all to make them sustainable developments going forward.

Many thanks to Deirdre Fallon and all the members in the Mount Hillary Athletic club for a cheque presentation to Banteer Community Sportsfield towards the recent project and in appreciation of the current facilities available to their club.
