An introduction is in order for the September issue of LifeStyle Queensland. I’m Casssandra Miller and new to the editor’s chair at the Strike Publications. With my rural ties plus a friendly and approachable outlook I can see you, the readers, and I becoming firm friends. LEADING WITH RESILIENCE Ipswich corporate and community leaders were encouraged to rethink their attitudes toward change at a recent workshop that links resilience with performance, productivity and innovation in business. The workshop was the final in the leadership series and revealed the powerful and tangible link between brain science and business productivity, highlighting the impact of how leaders think on the future growth of a business. Key presenter at the workshop, Professor Mary Corbett, says resilience underpins everything from performance, productivity and innovation to leading a team in which everyone can flourish.
“Resilience is all about how we look after ourselves and getting ourselves in the best shape mentally, physically and emotionally that we can be, so It’s crucial to identify what strengths we have as leaders and build on them,” Mary said. “Resilience is about increasing effectiveness under pressure so it’s absolutely imperative that as we face change that we meet it with resilient leaders who think carefully about the thoughts that they have, their behaviour and their leadership habits,” she said. Mary who is grounded in the field of biochemistry and has more than 20 years experience in training senior executives both nationally
and internationally said resilience has always been important but now more than ever it is talked about not just from an individual perspective but also in the context of economic resilience.
“Resilience is relative because of the rate of change we are experiencing, organisations have to deal with change at a level that they have never had to cope with previously , we are now a global economy and business aren’t just competing with others in the next street they’re competing with business overseas that are online so people are being tested, their resilience is being tested as they strive to move with that change and capitalise on it,” Mary said. “Leaders face a lot of setbacks, they have to make a lot of decisions, they are constantly challenged and they need to be able to understand change. They also need to help people through

change and paint a vision for the future.” Research has shown companies with resilient leaders have improved employee morale, are forward thinking and perform better in times of economic stress. “Fundamentally, resilient leaders are less stressed and can build a productive team environment,” Professor Corbett said. “Resilient leaders cope better with pressure and I like to think that stress is actually largely within you, because it’s how you think about a situation. While we can’t control what other people do we can actually have an impact on the way we deal with it and that’s what being resilient means, it’s about choosing not to be stressed it’s about choosing to be something else,” she said.

LEADERSHIP IN HEALTHCARE World renowned scientist and creator of the live-saving cervical cancer vaccine, Dr Ian Frazer, says Australia must promote more leadership in medicine, to maximise the benefits of public health research. Addressing an Inspiring Leaders Breakfast at Ipswich Girls’ Grammar School, Dr Frazer said that too often knowledge of good outcomes in medicine is lost because leadership is lacking in connecting research with frontline healthcare practices. “When it comes to science we have leadership thrust upon us,” he said, pointing to eminent Australian scientists such as Professors Fiona Stanley, Gustav Nossal and Brian Schmidt. “None of these leaders in their respective fields chose the leadership roles they now have; they were annointed to the positions. Dr Frazer mentioned Sir William Osler, described as ‘The Father of Modern Experimental Medicine. “He led in a field that required health care to be evidence based, which I think is probably better than guessing how to treat people,” Dr Frazer quipped. However, things have changed a lot since Professor Osler died in 1919, when he still espoused that men should stop work when they were about 67 years old and have a year or two to get their affairs in order before they died. “The challenge we now face is healthy ageing, thanks in large part to two 19th Century revolutions: the agricultural revolution that gave us safe food to eat and the Industrial Revolution that gave us safe water to drink,” Dr Frazer said. “Then, in the 20th Century we added the control of infectious diseases, through vaccines and antibiotics that added 15 to 20 years to our life expectancy. “But the point is, we want to live longer, healthier lives and that presents its own set of challenges.
The life expectancy in Australia at present is about 84 years but within the aboriginal communities the life expectancy is about 15 years less than that, so we are not distributing health care adequately. In places like North Africa the life expectancy average is still 45 years, so that hasn’t shifted despite the advances made in the past 200 years.”
Dr Frazer said there was a clear need for evidence based strategies, saying that vaccines and public health measures have provided excellent health outcomes, while huge outlays on vitamins, food supplements and the like have no proven value on improved health and life expectancy. In fact, there’s clear evidence of no benefit.
Dr Frazer said the challenge is also in affording to live longer, with health care costs rising significantly year-by-year, increasing faster than Gross Domestic Product. He said the dichotomy at present is that increased spending on healthcare is not necessarily translating into ageing healthier and living longer. “In the United States, which spends 18 per cent of GDP on healthcare, their life expectancy is about six years less than ours in Australia,” Dr Frazer said.
“So, we have to think more clearly about what is the better investment: research that leads to positive outcomes, or succumb to advertising tactics that encourage us to do things that are not good for our health.” Dr Frazer said getting the message out about what contributes to a long and healthy life is vital. “It’s a relatively simple message but one that is one of the hardest to sell,” Dr Frazer said.
“So what are the top four things that will make a big difference to a long and healthier life. Number one, stop smoking if you are a smoker. Smoking related health problems cost us $31 billion every year, and it kills 15,000 Australians every year. “Keeping your weight right is a challenge, with the pressure to eat junk food. Obesity in Australia costs $21 billion and kills 5,600 each year. “Drinking less alcohol is never a popular message but it is a Class 1 carcinogen, and cancers from sun exposure is also a big problem” Dr Frazer said that fundamentally we need to act on public health research. “Basic research leads to innovation and exploration on better ways to treat people, but when it comes to translating that research into practise we are twenty-third out of twenty-three in OECD countries,” he said. Dr Frazer said the challenge was to have funding to do the research, by using only evidence based strategies: doing only the things that prove to work, and save money on the things that don’t work” Dr Frazer continues to work towards revolutionising vaccine technologies at the Translational Research Institute where he also leads a research group on skin cancer immunology. FASHION BY DESIGN Local fashion designerJade Stuart of Jade by Design is a strong supporter of the Ipswich Fashion Festival, which she says is the highlight of the year in Ipswich fashion. “This will be my third year with the Festival, and I think it’s amazing, an absolutely fabulous idea that is great for Ipswich: it’s always a beautiful night of fashion and entertainment,” Jade said. “I’m so excited that my jewellry and accessories will be there.” Jade’s shop in Brisbane Street used to be a ladies boutique but over time the unique jewellry and fashion accessories lines have become an increased focus for Jade. “We do fashion head to toe, for that complete look, and I feel that jewellry and accessories are what makes an outfit; you can jazz it up with the the right accessories for party time or or even dress it down for a more conservative look,” Jade said. “Jewellry is so much more versatile than clothing alone because you can change your look, with your mood or the occasion, without having to keep buying something new and espensive in the clothing line. “All our jewellry is tarnish resistant and nickel free so it doesn’t peel or crack, and you don’t

She then moved to Ipswich with her husband who is in the Air Force, and soon after decided to open her own fashion store. The aspiring models will rub shoulders with professional models who will grace the catwalk in a Spring Fashion launch. The Tamblyn Young Model Discovery is steeped in history, with many previous participants being propelled to the catwalks of New York, Paris and London. Additionally, all funds raised during the competition will be donated to Childhood Cancer Support Inc. Held across five months in numerous centres throughout the state, the event is open to both male and females and split into three divisions ranging from ages 5-19 years. Riverlink will hold two heats, the first on Thursday, September 29 at 5.30pm and the second on Saturday, October 1 at 10.30am, with the semi final late that day at 12.30pm. Following Heat 2, the professionals will take to the catwalk to present a Spring Fashion Parade, showcasing some of the new spring fashion lines at Riverlink. Four Grand Finalists from each division of the Riverlink Semi Final event will be chosen to continue onto the Grand Final event, to held at the Pullman Brisbane, King George Square, on Sunday 13th November, 2016.
The Grand final winner will be judged, as well as winners in categories: Junior Photographic and Junior Runway, Intermediate Photographic and Intermediate Runway, and Senior Photographic and Senior Runway. An overall International Winner, chosen from either the Intermediate or Senior Division will also be announced. Principal of Tamblyn models, Pam Tamblyn said the benefits of the competition can be far reaching. Past entrants have included models of the calibre of Rachel Finch, “The model contest is longstanding with 28 years of history and it’s a great way to discover new talent and raise funds for charity,” Pam said. “It’s an excellent opportunity for young adults to build confidence and have the experience of walking the catwalk in front of a large crowd, for some this may be an enjoyable once in a lifetime event for others it may be the beginning of an exciting career. ” “I’m so very proud of all the entrants because in an age group where peer pressure is prevalent it’s very brave and admirable to enter in a model competition. Instagram, the new snapchat?
Ticks are back early this year! Tick season has kicked off early this year with all three clinics treating several cases already. Ixodes holocyclus (Paralysis Tick) is a small dermal parasite that feeds on the blood of its host while injecting a paralysing toxin. Clinical signs include wobbly back legs, laboured respiratory effort, vomiting, collapse and, sadly, death. Luckily, targeted treatment is available and can be effective at reversing the clinical signs over a period of 1-10 days, normally requiring hospitalisation, intravenous fluids, sedation, antibiotics and the all-important anti-serum. Severe cases may need intensive care and nasal oxygen.
The treatment is intensive, can be costly and doesn’t offer a guaranteed positive outcome, so prevention is better than cure. Keeping your pet’s coat short and avoid low-lying, wet, scrubby areas will help. Daily, finger-tip searching over the entire body surface of your pet, looking for attached ticks, will help in the early detection and removal of this dangerous parasite. Preventatives are also available to reduce the risk. Oral preparations (like Nexgard) will offer 4wks protection to dogs while topical applications (Frontline or Advantix) will offer 2wks protection. Unfortunately, there is very little available for cats in this regard.
Snapchat has been the biggest app over the last few months, with big brands using it as a form of marketing, and celebrities increasing their following through ‘snaps’. Even those who famously said they ‘would never join snapchat’ (Kim Kardashian) have crossed over to the snap side. Snapchats’ huge range of funny filters entices people to share their ‘real life’ raw moments, in the form of pictures or mini video uploaded into a timeline, known as a ‘story’. Since its launch in 2011, Snapchat has grown to become a huge success. This is due mainly to the large celebrity following and the up close and personal look we get into people’s lives. Snapchat used to be full of content that people felt wasn’t good enough for instagram, such as snippets of everyday life as opposed to carefully planned, highly edited, ‘arty’ pictures. However, with Instagram’s launch of their new look app there’s now an ‘instastory’ feature at the top of the timeline feed, exactly the same as the Snapchat concept, where all ‘stories’ disappear after 24 hours indicating they take the Snapchat concept more seriously now.
Instagram has kept all of its old features but simply added the popular video and photo sharing concept as an optional bonus. But with this new feature, you don’t have to worry about over-posting or feeling like your photo is just not instagram worthy. The new feature has paint and text options but no filters as yet but with the immediate success and generally good feedback, we’re sure the feature is here to stay, with lots of exciting things to improve it over the next few weeks. So far, lots of our favourite celebrities have jumped on the bandwagon: Kate Hudson, Sarah Jessica Parker, Lisa Messenger and Reese Witherspoon to name a few notables. Surely the best ‘first story prize’ has to go to Zoe Foster Blake who said ‘I’m all for instagram stories, I just think they need to work on their flower crown filter’.

Captivate kids during the school holidays School holidays are set to be great fun for kids, and Riverlink has expanded its Kids Club program to captivate children of all ages.
Also, Limelight cinemas at Riverlink are offering $6 kids tickets to a selection of movies for the duration of the holidays. Movie offerings include three family friendly films. Animated feature, The Secret Life of Pets chronicles the life of spoiled New York terrier, Max and the challenges he faces when his owner adopts Duke a giant and unruly canine. The heat is now on at Bundamba Swim Centre
Monument remembers Ripley Valley pioneers Pioneers of the area now being developed for residential housing at Ecco Ripley have been recognised as part of the region’s history, with a monument to them unveiled recently by the developers, Sekisui House. European settlement in Ripley dates back to 1829, 30 years before Queensland was declared a State. Made from a 79-year-old piece of concrete, the monument preserves the inscription of ‘Mamie’ Brewer, whose name was engraved into a wet piece of concrete inside a newly built milking shed when she was just 11 years old. Mary’s family was one of the area’s most notable pioneers, settling there in 1856 when they established a cattle farm alongside Mount Flinders. Mary’s uncle, Andrew McGuire and great uncle Thomas McGuire constructed Ripley Road in 1927 with just shovels, a tip tray and a few horses. Ms Brewer said she was so pleased that her family’s legacy would be recognised in this way.
“So much of Ripley’s history has been lost, so it’s great to see Sekisui House is remembering the pioneers of Ripley Valley as the area is developed,” she said. “My family has a longstanding affiliation with Ripley, having been involved in many aspects of the region’s progression. Ripley Road is being reformed to improve connectivity. Ecco Ripley Development Manager Frank Galvin said, “Ripley Valley was built by hardworking, passionate people and these families have helped shape Ripley into a place of rich history.” More than 500 residents are now living or constructing homes at Ecco Ripley. They live alongside three pioneering families still living on their original properties. These include the Ward, Ryan and Watson families.
Swimmers at Bundamba Swim Centre will be a lot warmer in the water with the completion of a $400,000 upgrade of the 50m pool. Electric heat pumps, solar heating and pool blankets were installed in recent weeks to further improve facilities at the Brisbane Road centre. Mayor Paul Pisasale said Bundamba Swim Centre was one of four council-owned public pools in Ipswich, complementing family water parks and play areas across the region. “Council continues to invest in this facility, making it the prefect training venue for our next generation of swimming stars and a great place for families and community groups,” he said. Councillor David Morrison said the centre offered swimming classes and fitness sessions and

also included an air conditioned gym with cardio and strength training equipment. “There’s so much more to do at our pools than just swim, it’s a full day out for family and friends with facilities for all ages and abilities and plenty of places for a picnic,” he said. Division 4 Councillor Kylie Stoneman said the move was a great outcome for the hundreds of local people who petitioned to make the upgrade a reality. “The pool can now be used comfortably all year round and will be heated to a minimum temperature of 27.5 degrees,” she said. USQ student chases dream job Pool&Spa A desire to care for others and to make a difference in people’s lives is what inspired Benjamin McCrindle to pursue a career in paramedicine.
Benjamin studied paramedicine at university and worked as a paramedic for a private company, but he soon realised it wasn’t the career path for him. “Paramedicine is an exciting and important area of healthcare, but I was more interested in diagnostics and long-term supportive interventions,” Mr McCrindle said. “So I applied to study nursing at the University of Southern Queensland (USQ) and it was the wisest decision I have ever made.” Mr McCrindle, from Ebbw Vale, is in his third year of a Bachelor of Nursing at USQ Ipswich, with dreams of working in rural aeromedical medicine and cardiac nursing. “I like the diversity of nursing and the opportunities to move into an area where I can continue to grow personally and enhance my knowledge and
associated skills,” he said. Choosing a new career direction was a big learning curve for Mr McCrindle, but he said it was never too late to pursue your dream job. “I would encourage anyone considering a career change or looking for a fresh start to chase their passion and not be afraid to follow their dreams,” Mr McCrindle said. “USQ has supported me in every

Pokémon Go takes off worldwide Pokémon Go on mobile phones has taken the world by storm, and the new app has people getting physical, going outside to catch and battle the elusive pokémon, in the real world. The app works uses GPS signals, and as you walk along your phone will vibrate, telling you when a pokémon is nearby. Using your pokéballs you capture the pokémon. There are lots of fun features, including pokéstops where you collect free pokéballs and other items to help you capture and battle pokémons at a gym. This is a very different type of app, and will be a game-changer for other apps in the future. It has been incredibly popular with children and adults of all ages. In areas where there are several pokéstops, gyms and pokémon, people go out in crowds to hunt for them, so it has achieved cult status. On Margate Parade near Redcliffe, for example, there are numerous pokéstops along the sea front, where many people play, which attracts more pokemon. Every night of the week huge amounts of adults, kids and families can be seen pacing around, phone in hand, searching for pokémon. The same can be seen in Southbank and many areas in Brisbane city. But is this new gaming technology good or bad? Technology produces new things, but do we want a nation glued to their phones, hunting for fictional characters on a device? Or do we want them looking around, being
in the present and concentrating on where they’re going and what’s really in front of them? Some would argue that it’s great that people are encouraged to be getting out and about, increasing their daily exercise by walking. Then, there’s the advantage of parents taking their children pokémon hunting as a family. But the intense concentration can be hazardous. There have been accidents where people have been playing pokémon while driving, leading to crashes; and there are stories of people getting run over because they’re looking down at their phone while crossing roads. On the other hand there’s been great stories: people making new friends and even relationships blossoming after striking up conversations with other players, and there are reports of children with autism who have not left their homes for long periods of time, due to anxiety and other reasons, getting out and playing it outside. Technology constantly advances, and it’s up to parents to remain focused on real life, using apps and other technology to enhance our lives, getting that balance between real, outside, childhood play and the inevitable screen-time.

Local website lists all local jobs Job seekers tired of trolling through hundreds of job vacancy ads online can now zero in on local job listings, with the launch of iwmjobs.com.au for the Ipswich & West Moreton region - and local employers can save hundreds of dollars listing their job vacancies online for free. The IWM Jobs website provides a single access point for all job vacancies in the region. This includes all jobs listed on other job vacancy websites and those listed directly with iwmjobs. “We want to keep our young people in our region, to support local growth, and this is great opportunity for young people to find employment,” said Mayor Paul Pisasale. “The most important thing any local authority such as the Councils can give people is jobs, because being without work is more than being unemployed, it affects the whole family and it affects the vibrance of our community. “The easier we can make it for unemployed people to know where the jobs are, the better it is for Ipswich and Lockyer because the unemployed can achieve dignity through work. The last thing we need is young people thinking that unemployment is the next role for them; we need to break that cycle.” An important side benefit of matching local people to local jobs is that the job vacancy data can then be used to identify education and training needs. “It’s no good training people for scarce jobs when the demand is in
other areas such as construction and trade-related jobs specific to our region,” the Mayor said. Regional Development Australia’s Kathy Bensted said that the website would also provide alerts to people on new listings. “The other great thing is that when a local employer lists a job they get a printout that they can display in their front window, enabling people walking by to scan the QR Code with their smartphone and get the job description and contact details on their phone,” Kathy said. “Our job within RDA is to bridge the gap between all levels of government; that is the role given to us by the Federal Government, so a lot of information we get will enable us to advise governments on what targeted funding is required and the training needed to meet the jobs demand.” IWM Jobs uses a computer program that scans all electronic media for job vacancies in postcodes for Ipswich and Lockyer Valley then collates and categorises those listings on the website. Currently there are more than 600 jobs being advertised in those postcodes. The website will also allow linkages to social media, enabling people to share the alert or listing with others who may be looking for a job locally. Food trucks take over Mall More than 10,000 people gathered for a bite of the Food Trucks phenomenon that descended on the Ipswich Mall on the last weekend of August. The monthly event included 50-plus food outlets, live entertainment, free kids activities and a licensed area. The event enjoyed huge success for organisers, and is set to ramp up when it corresponds on September 24 with ‘Kitsch in the Swich’.

LIFT UPSTREAM FOR BASS Queensland’s longest fish ladder has been constructed at Berry’s Weir in Ipswich, providing fish such as Australian Bass with an upstream gateway past Berry’s Weir at Churchill, to replenish fish stocks upstream. More than 80 metres long and climbing to 2.4 metres (the height of the weir) the zigzag design fishway has 35 steps and rest pools to enable important native fish species to swim upstream for the first time in more than fifty years. Berry’s Weir was constructed in the 1960s to supply water to the Swanbank/Stanwell Power Station. Fish biologist, Matt Moore, has traded his laboratory garb for overalls and gumboots to oversee the construction site where three to six tonne rocks are being positioned to form channels and rest pools for the juvenile fish on their journey upstream. “This project on the Bremer River has been going five weeks,” Matt said. “We’ve been flooded out three times, which makes life difficult, working in a dynamic system such as a river.” Using an excavator, large rocks are positioned accurately to form the walls of the channels, then the gaps are filled with concrete (about 35 cubic metres) to retain water flows at the correct levels. “We create a series of steps and pools to rise up 2.4 metres to the weir level, essentially a ladder in which the fish swim up through some fast velocity water between the rocks, then rest in the pool to get their energy back, and then do the same again,” Matt said. “They do this 35 times until they
get to the top, level with the weir, and swim upstream.” Without this project the weir would continue to act as an impenetrable barrier and severely diminish fish populations upstream - particularly diadromous (migratory) species. These species spawn in the estuary and the juveniles migrate upstream to fresh water habitats to feed and grow until they reach adulthood, then they migrate back down the river to the ocean. Positioning the rocks is seen as cost-effective and environmentally superior to all-concrete construction that would cost more than $1 million compared with about $100,000 for what is known as a Nature Life Rock Ramp Fishway. “So it does mimic what your would find in a natural waterway,” Matt said. This project is unique in that it is the highest rock ramp constructed to date. “This type of weir was built in the 1970s, with a Salmon Fishway in mind, for Northern Hemisphere species that can jump and are really good swimmers and can ascend these weirs,” Matt said. “But in Australia our fish just can’t do it; our fish are lazy, really lazy.” Immediate results are now expected, with an estimated hundreds of thousands of fish movements expected in a 24-hour
period. “But it will probably take a few years before we see our Australian Bass and other species come back to what it used to be.” There’s certainly local involvement in the project, with the rocks coming from the Mt Marrow quarry and GWT Earthmoving positioning the rocks. Ipswich City Council leading the charge in improving fish population and waterway health in South East Queensland. The structure is being delivered in tandem with environmental consultants and fish ecology
specialists, Catchment Solutions, alongside Reef Catchments and Stanwell Corporation Limited. Ipswich Mayor Paul Pisasale said, “This fish ladder is an important piece of infrastructure that will directly improve conditions for fish in the Bremer River and is a part of council’s strategy of focusing heavily on actions that will directly improve waterway health. CARAMEL LATTE MUFFIN FROM DANCING BEAN COFFEE ROASTERS, BRISBANE STREET, IPSWICH Ingredients: 4 tablespoon ‘One Shot’ caramel Syrup 4x 30ml ‘Dancing Bean’ Single Origin Costa Rico espresso shot. 1/3 cup Brown Sugar 1 Egg 2 Tablespoon Melted Butter 1 1/4 cup All Purpose Flour 1/4 teaspoon Baking Powder Caramel toffee 1 cup Brown Sugar 1/3 cup water Method 1. Pre-heat oven to 185°c 2. Line Muffin tin with Muffin cups 3. Mix hot espresso, syrup and brown sugar in bowl. 4. Whip in butter and egg 5. Sift flour and baking powder into mixture 6. Portion into muffin liners.
7. Bake for 25 minutes While baking, prepare the caramel toffee. 1. Dissolve brown sugar into water and heat in saucepan. 2. Cook for around 5 minutes until mix is coating a spoon. Once muffins are ready, spoon toffee over the top, allow to cool, then serve. Serves 6 mouthwatering muffins.

Reuben Sandwich Western Australia’s Colonial Brewing Company served up a mouthful with their recent Great Australian Beer SpecTAPular (GABS) release - Project #21: The Reuben Sandwich. Yes, the name is a mouthful, and the beer lives up to its namesake covering the drinker’s taste buds in the perfect combination of tasty rye IPA and the brilliance of one of the best sandwiches ever created. If you have never had a Reuben, you need to know it’s probably one of the best sandwich creations of all time: corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Russian dressing are combined and toasted between two pieces of rye bread. It’s truly an amazing creation. The key to the original Reuben is the rye bread. Without it, it’s simply not a Reuben. So, the folks over at Colonial Brewing Company thought “hey, we can make a rye IPA, so we may as well add some sandwich to it as well.” To add to that, the brewery also team up with West Winds Gin to add some interesting botanicals and a martini vibe.

In the aroma, it’s interesting and different: not overtly salty, but there is the aroma of beef and sauerkraut. Of course, this interacts well with the general spiciness from the rye. While this is an IPA, it’s not an extremely hop forward or bitter beer. These flavours are just the general “sandwichiness” of the beer. There’s salt, beef, pickles and the gin botanicals take the edge off. It’s a bit weird, but, most importantly, it’s very drinkable. It’s not a beer one could have a session on, but probably one that you could do two or three of in a night, especially if you have a couple less flavourful beers in between. Colonial set out to make a Reuben sandwich beer, and succeeded. And they did a damn fine job of it too. Colonial Brewing Project #21: The Reuben Sandwich is pouring right now at Tap’d at the Prince Alfred Hotel, but hurry, stocks are limited on this fantastically different beer. Cheers, Tim

Troops back from ‘Pitch Black’ Airmen and airwomen from RAAF Base Amberley have returned to home base following completion of the multinational air defence exercise Pitch Black 2016. Pitch Black was the Australian Air Force’s largest and most complex exercise in 2016, conducted from RAAF Base Darwin and RAAF Base Tindal during July and August. This year’s exercise featured up to 2500 personnel and 115 aircraft from participating nations.
