“EUROPEAN CONFERENCE ON HEAT TREATMENT 2015” & “22ND IFHTSE CONGRESS HEAT TREATMENT AND SURFACE ENGINEERING”: FROM TRADITION TO INNOVATION “European Conference on Heat Treatment 2015” e “22nd IFHTSE Congress Heat Treatment and Surface Engineering”: dalla tradizione all’innovazione
T
he long-standing co-operation between AIM - Associazione Italiana di Metallurgia - and the IFHTSE - International Federation for Heat Treatment and Surface Engineering - has already led to the joint organisation of significant events, such as the Congresses held in Florence in 1982 and in 1998 and the Congress on automotive applications organized in Riva del Garda in 2005. Now, their combined efforts will be focused on the organisation of a Conference that will deal with tradition and innovation in heat treatment and surface engineering. The Conference will join the “European Conference on Heat Treatment 2015” and the “22nd IFHTSE Congress”, and will be held in Venice mainland, at NH Laguna Palace (Venezia Mestre, Italy). The Conference will bring together managers, engineers and researchers from heat treatment shops, tool makers and users, suppliers of heat treatment and surface engineering plant and equipment, as well as material scientists. This meeting is aimed at creating an opportunity for a technical exchange at an international level among the numerous experts involved in the heat treatment and surface engineering route. The Conference will cover the overall development of technologies in heat treatment and surface engineering, with particular focus on the following topics: - Thermo-chemical treatment (carburizing, nitriding, nitrocarburising, etc.) - Surface hardening (induction, laser, etc.) - Coating technology and coatings (PVD, CVD, plasma, thermal spray, etc.) - Design and construction of industrial heat treatment equipment - Equipment for measurement and process control - Quenching technology, equipment and quenchants - Residual stress and distortion - Environmental impact of heat treatment - Environmental aspects of surface engineering - Tribology and tribological testing methods; wear and wear protection - Modeling and simulation of heat treatment and surface engineering related aspects - Reliability and process control

ià in passato la consolidata collaborazione fra l’Associazione Italiana di Metallurgia e IFHTSE – International Federation for Heat Treatment and Surface Engineering – ha dato luogo a eventi di successo nel campo dei trattamenti termici, quali i congressi tenuti a Firenze del 1982 e del 1998, nonché la Conferenza “Heat Treatment and Surface Engineering on Automotive Applications” di Riva del Garda, nel 2005. Le due associazioni uniranno nuovamente le proprie forze per l’organizzazione di una conferenza internazionale sui più recenti sviluppi e sulle innovazioni nei trattamenti termici e superficiali che accorperà in un unico appuntamento la “European Conference on Heat Treatment 2015” e il “22nd IFHTSE Congress”. La Conferenza si terrà dal 20 al 22 maggio 2015, presso NH Laguna Palace di Venezia Mestre. L’evento costituirà una singolare occasione di incontro e di confronto su innovazione, tendenze e sviluppi del vasto mondo del trattamento termico dei metalli e sarà rivolta a tutti coloro che sono coinvolti nel settore dei trattamenti termici dei metalli e delle leghe metalliche, dagli imprenditori ai tecnici e agli operatori delle aziende di trattamento termico e di trattamento superficiale, dagli accademici e i ricercatori di scienza dei materiali e ingegneria metallurgica ai metallurgisti dei laboratori, dai produttori ai trasformatori e ai fornitori di metalli, leghe metalliche e semilavorati fino agli utilizzatori. La conferenza tratterà tutte le tematiche più significative e di interesse per il settore, tra cui: - trattamenti termo-chimici (processi di carburizzazione, nitrurazione e carbonitrurazione); - indurimento superficiale (induzione, laser, ecc.); - rivestimenti PVD, CVD, al plasma, multistrato, ecc; - processi sotto vuoto per stampi, utensili e componenti; - progettazione e costruzione di impianti di trattamento termico; - controllo di processo; - tempra; - tensioni residue e distorsione; - trattamenti termici massivi; - impatto ambientale dei trattamenti termici e superficiali; - tribologia e usura; - modellazione e simulazione dei trattamenti termici e superficiali;
