BRAND-NEW – Special Art&Surfaces LE ROND AT THE POLITECNICO DI MILANO - THE SURFACES OF GIOVANNI LAMBERTI Le Rond al Politecnico di Milano - Le superfici di Giovanni Lamberti On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Politecnico di Milano (Milan, Italy), the association POLIEFUN has promoted the exhibition of an artist in the premises of the Leonardo building at the university. Eight works by Giovanni Lamberti, aka Le Rond, will be exhibited permanently in the premises of the department (Fig. 1). The exhibition of Giovanni Lamberti, author of works of great geometric concentration and careful design of shapes, materials and colors (Figs. 4 and 5), offers the opportunity to reflect on one of the possible bonds between art and technology today. At the inauguration of the exhibition, in addition to the artist Giovanni Lamberti (Fig. 2, left), was present Paolo Bolpagni (Fig. 3), art critic, who follows the artist for years and supervised the exhibition. According to Bolpagni, art and technique are inseparable. To ensure that the work of art produces an emotion 1 you need to know and use a technique. Artists have always used the techniques of their time; it’s not possible to understand the history of contemporary art without thinking about the inventions and technologies that have crossed it, multiplying beyond belief.
n occasione del 150° del Politecnico di Milano, l’associazione POLIEFUN ha promosso una mostra d’artista nei locali della sede Leonardo dell’ateneo. Otto opere di Giovanni Lamberti, in arte Le Rond, saranno esposte in modo permanente nei locali dei corridoi del dipartimento (fig. 1). La mostra di Giovanni Lamberti, autore di opere di grande concentrazione geometrica e attenta strutturazione di forme, materiali e colori (figg. 4 e 5), offre la possibilità di riflettere su uno dei possibili connubi tra arte e tecnica oggi. All’inaugurazione della mostra, oltre all’artista Giovanni Lamberti (fig. 2, a sinistra), era presente il critico Paolo Bolpagni (fig. 3), che ha curato la mostra e segue l’artista da anni. Secondo Bolpagni, arte e tecnica sono un binomio inscindibile. Per far sì che l’opera d’arte produca un’emozione è necessario conoscere e utilizzare una tecnica. Gli artisti hanno sempre usato le tecniche del proprio tempo; non si può comprendere la storia dell’arte contemporanea senza riflettere sulle invenzioni e le tecnologie che l’hanno attraversata, moltiplicandosi all’inverosimile.
