thanol is a major priority for the U.S. Grains Council. Top markets that the U.S. Grains Council is focusing on for ethanol exports is Mexico, Japan, Canada, Colombia, China and South Korea.

In addition, India and southeast Asia markets, such as Vietnam, offer opportunities. By hosting events and inviting industry and government officials from these countries, the U.S. Grains Council and its partners highlight the positive use of ethanol in transportation fuels to help meet challenges, including improving air quality. Because Japan is a mature and stable market for U.S. grains, they are price and quality sensitive. In 2018, Japan was the second largest global buyer of

U.S. corn.
