Club Profile

On May 1, 1973, Inverness Country Club opened its doors to the Inverness

community, quickly established itself as a reputable club to be

a member of, and has grown in elegance and status ever since. The original golf course was designed by George Cobb.

In 2006, the golf

course was completely renovated by noted golf course architect Bill Bergin, and it features an outstanding practice facility, championship miniverde greens and a set of junior tees.

On June 11, 2007, the

clubhouse was devastatingly destroyed by fire, but operations continued as usual.

A module clubhouse was set up in the parking lot and the club

continued to prosper.

2009

to

rave

reviews

from

members and guests alike. In Spring 2011, Golf, Inc. Magazine named Inverness Country Club “The Best New Clubhouse for 2010,� a very prestigious award for the club industry. The tennis facility has also seen great change. Originally eight soft courts and two hard courts, the facility now features thirteen soft and hydro courts and three U.S. Open blue hard courts.

DINING ROOMS Main Dining Room, Oak Room and The Terrace During the day, take in spectacular views of the Inverness Country Club Golf Course. Lunch is served Tuesday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Dinner is served Friday nights from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Friday nights, in addition to our Tavern Menu, we offer Farm Fresh Specials that include unique dishes created by our Chef. Every Sunday, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., our popular Sunday Brunch is available which features an Omelet and a Waffle Station as well as assorted lunch and breakfast items. You can always expect fine cuisine and impeccable personal service while dining at the Club. Conducive for a romantic evening for two, we can customize your experience to make your meal truly memorable. We recommend reservations so we can provide the utmost in personalized service.

The Tavern The Tavern is available for those who prefer a quick bite to eat while catching up on the latest in world news and sports in a quaint, informal setting. The Tavern is available for lunch and dinner Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday lunch and dinner are offered from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Our Championship 18-hole golf course is the centerpiece of Inverness Country Club. Completely renovated in 2006 by noted golf course architect, Bill Bergin, the golf course offers a wonderful experience to

Golf Programs

MEN’S GOLF ASSOCIATION Open Dogfight The Club conducts a shotgun start every Saturday morning at

8:45 a.m. (except on tournament days) and is open to Charter, Young Executive, Young Professional, and SportsPlus Members.

The “Majors” The B.A.S.H. , The Member-Member Tournament, Match Play Championship, The Member-Guest Tournament, and The Club Championship Inverness Cup Matches Considered as the premier tournament at the Club, members qualify

for this Ryder by being in the Top 24 on the Official Money List.

Qualifying members are divided into two teams and compete over two days in four-ball, foursome, and individual matches for the right to claim The Inverness Cup.

LADIES’ GOLF ASSOCIATION Twilight Golf - Tuesday Play begins at 5:00 p.m., stay afterwards and enjoy dinner in the Tavern.

Weekly Play Day - Wednesday The ILGA plays a variety of different types of events with a 8:30 a.m.

Our 9 - hole group follows the 18 - hole group at approximately 9:30 a.m. Shotgun start. All events, except for Pairings Day, are handicapped and individual contests. All winnings are posted as credit in the Golf Pro Shop.

THE FACILITY The Inverness Tennis Center is the largest private tennis facility in Birmingham.

The Tennis Center currently features 13 rubico

courts and 3 U.S. Open blue courts, all lit for night play.

With

a full service pro shop, the Inverness Tennis Center offers a wonderful opportunity to further your tennis enjoyment.

Tennis Program

LADIES’ TENNIS

Ladies interested in playing league tennis have many different leagues from which to choose: Ladies Interclub Ladies Interclub Doubles Only Ladies Soft-court USTA T-2

Competition Ladies Tennis Inverness hosts two USTAsanctioned NTRP tournaments; one in the spring and one in the summer. There are also many other tournaments held throughout the year in the Birmingham area.

The Inverness Ladies Tennis Association (ILTA) governs all Ladies Soft-court league teams. The dues are $30 per year to cover league dues and any socials.

Tournaments Club Singles & Doubles Championship

Held each year in August.

Iron Bowl Challenge

Held the week of the Alabama vs.

Auburn game in the fall.

Annual Christmas Open House and Play Day

Held in December Other Activities

Every Wednesday Night during the summer is Ladies Night which includes 30 minute drill sessions followed by doubles play! This is for levels of play 2.5 and above, and the cost is $25 per person.

There are several other fun play days held throughout the year in which players of all teams and levels interact..

Junior Academy is for the competitive player who wants to develop their skills for tournament play and school teams.

This is for the intermediate level players who are developing their skills. We will work on learning and improving fundamental skills essential for competing in the modern tennis game.

Quick Start Tennis

Quick start Tennis is an exciting new play format for learning tennis.

It is designed to bring kids into the game by utilizing specialized equipment, shorter court dimensions, and modified scoring. All elements are tailored to age and size

Fitness

THE FACILITY Our 4,000 square foot Fitness Center is fantastic. It features the latest in exercise equipment including Olympic quality free weights and top-of-the-line cardio machines with personal viewing systems.

Additionally there is a Group Exercise Studio with a variety classes for any lifestyle and fitness level. Last, but certainly not least, is our Private Pilates Studio. Private Reformer Pilates sessions are available.

Our Fitness Center offers both complimentary and fee based classes.

The Fitness Director will be available to assist you with any fitness needs.

Members and their guest must sign in at the fitness desk. Appropriate attire is required. Use of the facility is at your own risk. Children 12 years and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Junior Swim Team Join the Inverness Wave to improve your swimming skills, get a little summer exercise or just for the fun!

Junior Swim Lessons Inverness has a full staff of certified lifeguards that offer private swim lessons for swimmers of all ability levels.

Childcare Weekday Childcare Childcare is available by reservation only for children ages 2 through 7.

Children under age 2 are accepted based on a strict child/worker ratio.

Childcare is offered Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and during certain evening hours. Please contact the Fitness Center for our Childcare evening hours.

Only children of Inverness Members may use the childcare center and the parent(s) dropping off the child(ren) must remain on the Club's grounds the entire time that their child is in the center.

You may choose how you pay for your use of childcare.

Option 1: $5 per hour per child

Option 2: $120 per quarter per child for unlimited use.

Friday Night Childcare Childcare is complimentary during Friday Night Dining at the Club. Children under the age of 2 are not allowed in the childcare area during this time.

Reservations are required by 12:00 p.m. on Friday for Friday night childcare.

Pool & Cabana

THE FACILITY The Inverness Pool and Cabana is a great spot for you and your family to cool off during the summer. We open the season on Memorial Day and close for the season, the day after Labor Day. Inverness offers three separate pools, the family pool is located on the main level, second pool is the lap pool located on the lower deck and features a diving board and lanes for swimming laps, and the third and final pool is for the little ones in your family. Our toddler pool is located just off the family pool on the main deck.

The Cabana is open with sandwiches, salads, pizza, ice cream, snacks and beverages for your convenience. You may also order from the Clubhouse menu with delivery to you at the pool.

The Club’s Management meets regularly to vote on the acceptance of all applicants. Notification will be given when the decision regarding membership approval is made.

RESIGNATION & DOWNGRADES: It is agreed that a Member may resign from the Club by giving written notice via certified return-receipt mail to the Club. The effective date of resignation will be thirty (30) days from the day the Club receives the Member’s written notice. All accrued dues, unpaid initiation fees, and other charges for which a Member is liable are due upon the effective date of resignation. It is also agreed that a Member wishing to move to a lower dues membership category will pay a $250 transfer fee that will be applied to the Applicant’s member account.

PAYMENT OF ACCOUNT: Payment of account is due on receipt of the monthly statement. Applicant agrees to pay the account when due, including all guest charges. Applicant agrees Club may assess a late charge for past due accounts as provided in the by-laws of the Club, as amended from time to time. Payments on delinquent accounts apply first to reduce late charges, then to food and beverages charges, then to any other charges. Applicant agrees to pay all reasonable attorney fees and other costs, in the event this account is turned over for collection.

USE OF PHOTOS: Applicant hereby acknowledges their understanding and consent that Inverness Country Club and Inverness Holdings, L.L.C. may from time to time, take photographs of Applicant, their spouse, children and guests to be used in the marketing of Inverness Country Club.
