Z A Architectural Engineering Design is an award winning company based in China that has been successful with the three following projects. The architectural design of CFC Chang-fu Centre in downtown Futian, Shenzhen takes the form of a square high-rise tower and a circle. These shapes both echo with Chinese culture and prove highly practical. As a multifunctional complex, it will be a popular urban cultural place for the public and a landmark development for the Bonded Area and Shenzhen in the new century. Comparable to buildings in Hong Kong, the development is modern and clean and clearly sets out the division of property rights between the Bonded Area and Yangfu Industrial. The new tower stands 311.6 metres high and, by its various layers, aims to reflect
the transition from the earth to the sky. Seen from a distance, the daylight accentuates the tall, slim outline of the tower while at night with its roof-top exhibition hall and restaurants shining, the tower resembles a lighthouse. As the commanding height and visual centre of Guiyang International Convention and Exhibition Centre, 201 Tower elevates 10 office units to a heady 36 metres high. Breaking away from the dull shape of most existing offices and averting the traditional layout of separation between the inside and outside, the new structural system greatly frees up the available office space.
