S, Malaysia, Designtone has won awards across four interior design projects. Rainbow Dealer’s Lounge is an office interior in Kuala Lumpur that captures the client’s forward vision. Every private, common and collaborative space has been created with great attention to its purpose and connected through layout, materials, technology, colour, typography and signage. Original concrete and brickwork features also reflect the company’s utilitarian approach to collaboration in a growth-focused workplace. Neo Classical Abode is a 3,400 square feet apartment providing a panoramic view of the KL skyline. Reflecting a neo-modern Chinese approach, its design is inspired by the art-architecture-space relationship. Key
elements include utilising three main walls in the living and dining areas as a blank canvas, while keeping the overall spatial design minimal. Kota Permai Golf & Country Club’s interior design concept features the theme of ‘tropical elegance’. It involved the refurbishment and extension of existing areas to be both contemporary and upmarket to reflect the membership of businessmen and VIPs. Elegant, luxurious materials add a sophisticated feel to the spaces while bespoke and personalised touches include commissioned artworks. Ekocheras Mall in Cheras, Malaysia has a trendy, minimalist and sustainable design. Bold in its execution, regardless of what is seen as the norm, it has been given a timeless appeal which will remain relevant over future years.
