Alle Colombare Cutting Trophy

On July 2, the Colombare Cutting Trohpy welcomed 80 horse-rider combinations judged by Ed Dufurrena who then stayed on to host a clinic. Thanks to the sponsors, fresh cattle were brought in for all those that attended. “I would like to expresss my gratitude for having been invited back to judge the Jackpot and to work a clinic,” said Duffurena. “The ground in the indoor arena is exceptional and the cattle were too.

Pini was quick to credit the work done by Duffurena and was pleased with the number of attendees. He also expressed his delight in the number of entries in the new Ladies Only class, won by an amateur showing the high level of competition among the lady cutters.

The Champions

Open All Ages Denis Pini took the win with a 74 riding Metallic Huntress owned by Simone Lupano. Second place was for Gianluca Munarini and Back Street Cat owned by Willem Bembom.

Jackpot Open All Ages Pini took the lead after scoring a 73.5 aboard Sdp Rubys Tr Cat for owner Luca Bertacchini. In second Gianluca Munarini and Back Street Cat.

$25.000 Limit Rider with a 72 was for Michela Cassinelli and High Brow Chicolena owned by Roberto Cordani, followed by young rider Virginia Bertacchini and her Sdp Rubys Tr Cat (score 71).

$5.000 Novice Horse: Sheri Mason rode Smartys Lil Cowboy Andrea Pagani to a 74. A point behind was Marco Salvatori riding Smart Iron Rey.

$50.000 Amateur: Katona Imre rode Once In A Blu Lou to an outstanding 74 score. Bembom followed two points behind on his Smoking Spook.

Non Pro All Ages: Willem Bembom took the win with a 71 with Smoking Spook. The pair also took the Jackpot Non Pro All Ages.

$15.000 Amateur: Topping the 10 entries, Vittoria Antonini and Sofies Choice Cat owned by Silvia Viaggi scored a 74 for the win. Riccardo Pini and Merada Dreamcatcher, a point behind, came in second.

$2.000 Limit Rider/Any Horse: Open to horses that have less than $2.000 LTE saw Giulio Gallazzi riding Playlite di Michal Popov win with a 72).

$1.000 Amateur: Giulio Gallazzi and Playlite owned by Michal Popov rode to a 71.
