Pietro Valeri aboard Cat Rey Lou scored a big 150 to win the Championship.

“It was my first title here at AMERICANA, I have been waiting for this day for a long time!

Cat Rey Lou (High Brow Cat x Farra Rey) is a once in a lifetime horse, a special one, but nothing could have happened without the support of Marco [Salvatori], of the whole Rosy o' Grady's cutting horse team and of my partner Martina [professional Annovazzi].”

Reserve honors with a 144 score went to Federico Fanti riding Hansruedi Baumann’s Highbrowcd is Playin.

European Non Pro Championship

Clinching the title was Gaia Salvatori riding Marco Salvatori’s Metallic Savanah, an 11-year-old American Quarter Horse gelding sired by National Cutting Horse Association NCHA leading sire Metallic Cat out of Savanah Holli.

The duo, in a very tough set of cows, managed to handle the run and scored a 147.

“It’s my first final here at AMERICANA,” said a very excited Gaia. “It was a difficult herd to work, but thanks to ‘Topino’ [Metallic Savanah] everything went smooth! I really want to thanks my trainers Pietro [Valeri] and Martina [Annovazzi], my parents and all Rosy O' Grady's cutting horse team!” Reserve honors with a 141 score, went to Swiss Yvonne Heinzer aboard her own Snappy Hunter.

With a 143.5 score, the Limited Non Pro Championship was won by Daniel Henriksson riding Almond Rey. For Henriksson, who actively showed in cow horse events, this is his first cutting show: It was a debut for him in the pen and the first time for the 5year-old stallion Almond Rey (Smart Rey Pepto x Uno Scootin Dera) with the Swedish rider in the saddle. Half a point behind, Matteo Chinaglia and Marco Salvatori’s Vino Cappuccino as well as Andrea Favaretto aboard Lenas Startaz tied for the second highest score.

With a 154 score, Denis Pini and Stop Ur Hot owned by Michal Popov, won the 2021 AMERICANA Bridleless Cutting Championship.

Andrea Favaretto took Reserve honors with a 152 score.
