AMERICANA 2021 Closes With a Bang!

When the AMERICANA 2021 opened its doors, it was not only the beginning of a long-awaited and much-loved Western event, but also the first trade show ever in Augsburg after a 16 month pause due to the pandemic. 500 horses and riders from 14 nations, 250 exhibitors, and over 38,800 visitors once again turned the event to a hugely successful one.

An impressive number of classes were offered including the $48,600Added NRHA Bronze Trophy Open and the $12,150-Added NRHA Bronze Trophy Non Pro. Throwback to the reining highlights of the 2021 edition.

NRHA Bronze Trophy Open: Nico Sicuro and Colonels Dancing Gun Conquer in Augsburg

The NRHA Bronze Trophy Open Final was certainly one of the most exciting ever at the AMERICANA. In order to qualify for the finals, the 18 riders had to have a score of 217 or above. The talented group of qualified horses and riders had all it took to win, but leaving the best for last was Italian Nico Sicuro riding Colonels Dancing Gun (NRHA Thirteen Million Dollar Sire Gunner x Dance

Little Spook), a doubleregistered stallion owned by Quarter Dream, who he won the qualifier with.

The duo conquered the crowd and the judges with their incredible performance paid back with a 225.5. “I’ve had him since last year and he gets better and better every time I show him,” he said. “Everything went the way it had to in the qualifier and in the finals, it went even better. I am really proud of him and cannot thank owners Helena and Pietro Marseglia enough for their trust!”

Phantom Face (NRHA Three Milion Dollar Sire Pale Face Dunnit x Gorgeous Like A Star).

Tying f or third place with a 223, were NRHA Million Dollar Rider Ann Fonck and Rosanne Sternberg’ s Shines Like Spook (NRHA Eight Million Dollar Sire Smart Spook x Ebony Shines) and her husband NRHA Two Million Dollar Rider Bernard with Spook Sunburst (Great Sunburst x All About Spook) owned by 7 Heaven Reining Horses.
