Svenska CI-Nätverket M-Brain har tagit initiativ till bildandet av ett svenskt nätverk för alla som jobbar med omvärldsbevakning och Competitive Intelligence. Svenska CInätverket är Linkedin-baserat och löst knutet till forskningsprojektet Cibas som M-Brain driver tillsammans med bland annat Södertörns Högskola. - Vi som deltar i CIBAS-projektet vill gärna dela med oss av den kunskap som skapas inom ramarna för forskningsprojektet men också lära av andra. Därför startade vi Svenska CInätverket, säger Johan Hammarlund från M-Brain.

Det övergripande målet med nätverket är att det ska vara en arena för kunskapsutbyte och ge möjlighet att få kontakt med andra i branschen. De som jobbar med omvärldsbevakning i en mindre organisation har ofta inte särskilt många, om ens några, kollegor. De får här möjlighet att utbyta erfarenheter med andra i samma situation. De som är mer erfarna får möjlighet att diskutera ny forskning och nya metoder. I dagsläget har det växande nätverket medlemmar från ett tiotal företag inom branschen men också medlem-

Bidding for Cision continues Meltwater has adjusted the acceptance period for its bid to acquire the Swedish media monitoring firm Cision until 13 June 2014. Meltwater, whose current bid is SEK 63 (EUR 6.94 USD 9.58) per share, still requires at least 70% acceptance. Blue Canyon (GTCR) is currently offering SEK 61 per share. Meltwater has criticised the bidding process saying that basic market mechanisms have been neglected, mainly as a result of measures taken by GTCR which have contravened good practice on the stock exchange.

Statistics Sweden has published annual figures on Swedish companies’ use of IT. A new element this year is that the study includes data on use of social media. The statics showed that 46% of Swedish companies with more 7

than 10 employees use social media, which is well above the EU average of 32%. Other results that are worth mentioning includes a marked difference between small and larger companies when it comes to use of social media. Also, that social networks are much more used than blogs or wikis, which is understandable considering the dominance for marketing purposes that is shown in the study.

Dagens Industri signs new deal with Retriever, Opoint left out Swedish business paper Dagens Industri has signed a new deal with media monitoring company Retriever. Material from Dagens Industri is once again available via Retiever as of April 10. The new agreement includes joint product development and new financial terms. Dagens Industri has also negotiated with Retriever’s competitor Opoint but has not yet managed to reach an agreement.
