FI COATS JOINS INTEC UK AS SALES ADMINISTRATOR Intec UK is delighted to welcome Fi Coats to the team, as sales administrator. Fi, (short for Fiona), was born and lived in Dorset and studied at Exeter University. Having graduated with a BA in French, Fi moved to France and enjoyed working in Paris. “This was a fantastic period in my life, I really loved living and working with French people” reminisced, Fi. “Returning to the UK, I worked in admin with a leading wholesaler, which has
given me a great grounding for my current role at Intec, where I facilitate UK and international customers’ consumables sales, as well as provide cover on certain other aspects of the business, including order payments and logistic.” Fi, who joined the company in July, is looking forward to forging relationships with all Intec customers, distributors and dealers - as the company continues its growth as a major global provider of digital printing and finishing equipment.

‘WASH’ PROJECT UGANDA, UPDATE Intec Printing Solutions, is committed to ‘making a difference’ in global places of need. To this end, Intec has partnered with the charity ‘International Needs’ since 2015. Following the 2017 completion of the new maternity unit in Burkina Faso, Intec has been involved in helping bring clean water and sanitation to a village in Buikwe District, Uganda. Reports back from the ‘IN’ team in the village are most encouraging, as more inhabitants gain access to clean water and also a good understanding of water-born diseases and how to avoid them.

• E very year, over 4,500 children in Uganda die from diarrhoea caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. • 88% of cases of diarrhoea disease can be prevented with the use of safe drinking water and improved hygiene and sanitation. • Women and girls spend up to 4 hours a day collecting water • 65% of Ugandans have no toilet in or around their homes
