From Your CEO Celebrating Independent Agents 128 years of success is cause for celebration! We are celebrating 128 years as your Independent Insurance Association. I am so eager to celebrate with you at our Annual Convention in Florence, Alabama. We have received an excellent response from our valued members and partners across the state. Insurors has been leading the way for our state's independent insurance agents since 1893. We are honored to continue our pursuit for our members today. As industry leaders, we are passionate about helping our agents thrive in an ever-changing insurance marketplace. The goal of Insurors of Tennessee has been and will continue to be to protect the interests of Independent Insurance Agents and brokers across our great state. Working alongside agent members and brokers is one of my favorite aspects of my insurance career. We are one of the most crucial professions and industries – we protect people, their families, businesses, and ultimately lives from many unforeseen circumstances.

Leadership is the capacity to influence others through inspiration, motivated by passion, generated by vision, produced by conviction, ignited by a purpose. Leadership is about impact. Whether you live in a large city, or a small rural area, we are leaders in our communities. We live and work here, raise our families, rally together in our successes, and lean on each other in our failures. We cheer on our teams, work our farms, support our causes and organizations, worship together, we shop local to support our merchants and economy, and grieve together during our tragedies. We invest our resources and time to keep us strong and ensure a solid focus on our The Tennessee Insuror

future. We are the Insurance Agencies; Chambers of Commerce; school boards; law enforcement; emergency personnel; city, county and state offices; private and industrial businesses; all of us together make-up our community and home.

I am truly inspired by our agents, our industry, and our Association as a whole. Our industry is vibrant to dedicating efforts to our working relationships, education, training, and providing tools necessary to be successful in a constantly changing work culture. This week I watched 38 agents take a CIC class at our office and it was encouraging to see them strive for knowledge and advancements in our industry. I encourage all of you to attend conventions, conferences, and classes to network with other professionals and share ideas, problems and solutions pertaining to the industry or your personal agency. Choose to aspire for opportunities to learn, lead, and grow for your success. As I have traveled across the state meeting our agents and their employees, I am always impressed with the dedication, commitment, and loyalty to their customers.

“Together, we will continue to advance our Association by coming together and working alongside one another for our industry’s future. ”

Together, we will continue to advance our Association by coming together and working alongside one another for our industry’s future. Our efforts today will impact our successes tomorrow. “The success of the future does not lie solely on the safety of the past, but relies broadly on the security of the present.” As we approach the closing of 2021, let us embrace these times and enjoy our families and friends, our communities, and live life to the fullest. Thank you for your continued support, and cheers to the next 128 years! u
