Last year marked a significant milestone for INSURICA as North American Solutions (NAS) transitioned to INSURICA Cypress, ushering in a new era for the agency. This name change, which took place in 2024, symbolized the successful integration of NAS into the INSURICA family and reinforced our commitment to delivering exceptional insurance solutions in the Texas region, and beyond.
“Education based selling has always been a part of our DNA, and I think it’s led to a lot of our success with our retention specifically,” Jack Melton said.
The rebranding to INSURICA Cypress was more than a mere name change; it represented an enhanced capability to serve clients with a wider array of insurance products and risk management services.
By aligning with INSURICA’s extensive resources and network, the Cypress office was able to deliver even greater value to clients across various industries.
This transformation was part of INSURICA’s strategic vision to strengthen its market presence and uphold its legacy of excellence in service delivery.
“We have a great team put together,” Melton said.” Our goal has always been to educate the client on how to think about insurance.”
As we reflect on the past year, we celebrate the successful transition to INSURICA Cypress and the opportunities it has brought for our clients and team members. The transformation has set the stage for continued growth and success in the years to come.

"Edwards has been a beacon for integrity and honest dealings from day one. It’s a privilege to continue this great legacy and to honor the excellent company built by the Edwards family."
Edwards vast array of services include program and third party claims administration, loss prevention, wellness, environmental/industrial hygiene, and employee benefit consulting across several areas such as workers’ compensation, property and liability, employee benefits and unemployment compensation.

In 2024, INSURICA proudly introduced the INSURICA Producer Pathway Program as a cornerstone of our Transformational Growth Strategy. This program is designed to cultivate the next generation of leaders within our organization, providing a structured pathway for producers to advance from their initial roles to ownership opportunities.
The IPP is structured like a journey, with each stage representing a significant milestone in a producer's career. Producers begin their journey as NEXTGEN producers, a phase that encompasses their first day on the job until they achieve "validation." This initial stage is crucial for developing foundational skills and understanding the core values and operations of INSURICA.
Once validated, producers transition to the CATALYST phase. This stage is characterized by accelerated growth and development, where producers are encouraged to leverage their skills and knowledge to drive business success. The CATALYST phase is designed to empower producers to take on more significant responsibilities and prepare for future leadership roles.
The culmination of the IPP journey is the opportunity for ownership, where producers become PARTNERS. This final stage represents the ultimate goal for many within the program, offering a chance to share in the success and growth of INSURICA. By becoming PARTNERS, producers not only achieve personal career milestones but also contribute to the long-term sustainability and prosperity of the organization.
The INSURICA Producer Pathway Program is more than just a career development initiative; it is a testament to our commitment to nurturing talent and fostering a culture of growth and innovation. As we continue to implement our Transformational Growth Strategy, the IPP will play a vital role in shaping the future of INSURICA and ensuring our continued success in the industry.

INSURICA is reinforcing its commitment to client service by externally branding “RM4U,” a comprehensive risk management approach tailored to each client’s unique needs. This initiative highlights INSURICA’s focus on personalized service and proactive strategies in an evolving insurance landscape.
Chief Sales Officer Dillon Rosenhamer emphasized RM4U’s value in strengthening INSURICA’s promise to clients and guiding producers toward success.
“In some ways ‘RM4U’ is nothing new to INSURICA,” Rosenhamer said. “I am totally committed to guaranteeing our success now and into the future by making RM4U the way we do business across the entire INSURICA Community.”
The RM4U process starts with a detailed risk assessment, where INSURICA experts analyze exposures, industry trends, and policies to develop a clear risk profile. Using these insights, they create tailored insurance and risk management solutions that are both comprehensive and cost-effective.
Modernizing the risk assessment tool and client-facing scorecard has been a passion project for Director of Sales Enablement Taylor Caraway.
“I can’t think of a better way to put our expertise on display than through the risk assessment process,” Caraway said. “We have leaned heavily upon our industry practice groups and thought leaders to develop thorough and thoughtful risk assessments that are specific to the industries we serve the best. Now, with modern tools like AI and automation, we have been able to successfully take our initial idea and make these assessments available across the board.”
A key RM4U component is proactive risk management, including safety programs, regular reviews, and ongoing client education. INSURICA continually updates risk management plans to address emerging risks, providing clients with dedicated support, advanced technology, data analytics, and industry insights to make informed decisions and build long-term relationships.

In the rapidly evolving world of insurance, staying ahead of technological advancements is not just an option — it's a necessity. INSURICA’s IT Department has taken significant strides to enhance operational efficiency, improve client experiences, and secure data integrity, setting a new benchmark in the industry.
One of the most notable achievements of INSURICA's IT Department this year has been the overhaul of its digital infrastructure. By migrating to a cloud-based system, the department has ensured seamless access to data and applications for employees across all locations.
This transition not only enhances flexibility and scalability but also significantly reduces downtime, ensuring that the company's operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Another highlight from 2024, was the improvement of turnaround time when purchasing and distributing laptops to new colleagues. Once a two-week process, the new system allows for new machinery to be up and running in as little as four business days.
With the increase in remote work, data security remains a top priority. IT implemented stringent security measures, which strengthen INSURICA’s security posture. Third-party vendors conduct monthly scans of INSURICA’s infrastructure and monitors systems 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
As we look to the future, INSURICA's IT Department remains dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what's possible. Their achievements in 2024 serve as a blueprint for other departments aiming to leverage technology for growth and success.
With a focus on innovation, security, and client satisfaction, INSURICA is well-equipped to navigate the challenges and opportunities of the digital age.
The Data and Innovation team at INSURICA made significant strides in system integration and software development over the past year, focusing on improving efficiency and reliability across platforms.
“The Data and Innovation team successfully integrated Salesforce, Epic, and a new proprietary rating platform for Broker Source, allowing data to pass seamlessly between all three systems,” said Chief Innovation Officer Jeff Nickles.
“This level of integration has had a notable impact on Broker Source, enhancing system reliability and operational efficiency,” Nickles said.
A key development, related to this in 2024, was the creation of a new software solution, internally referred to as the “individual rater.” Built from the ground up, this tool aims to streamline processes and improve overall user experience. This software represents a major advancement in the company's technology offerings.
In terms of team growth, 2024 marked a turning point with the addition of in-house software developers.
“For the first time, INSURICA added software development capabilities by bringing Dorian Yeager and Hunter Soliday on board,” Nickles said. “This was a game-changer for us.” Additionally, the data team expanded with the addition of William Roten, further strengthening internal capabilities.
Looking ahead to 2025, the team will continue to focus on artificial intelligence and enhancing tools for RM4U, INSURICA's sales and service model.
“We have a lot coming related to RM4U,” Nickles stated. “Some of those enhancements are already rolling out, but 2025 will be a big year for further development.”
With an eye on continued innovation and efficiency, the Data and Innovation team remains committed to driving advancements that will benefit both INSURICA and its clients in the years to come.

INSURICA’s Company Store has a new look and new items from which INSURICAns may choose. The company store “refresh” is its first since it launched 15 years ago.
INSURICA’s Vice President of Marketing, Andy Paden, said the company store refresh was in response to requests from various colleagues across the network.
“Our marketing team had been discussing this with our vendor for the past year or so,” Paden said. “When other colleagues reached out and asked for some newer items, this project moved to priority status.”
Paden said the Marketing team knew that simply adding new items to the company store would not be enough to grasp the attention and imaginations of colleagues. So the Marketing Department organized a “magazine style” photo shoot with colleagues serving as models for some of the new items.
The rebrand includes a fresh visual identity, highlighted by a professional photoshoot conducted by Shevaun Williams Commercial Photography.
“It was so much fun! Dressing our colleagues in new apparel, sporting the INSURICA and INSURICA Direct logos, turned out to be a blast. We made a video about the photo shoot,” Paden said.
The rebranding effort aims to enhance the overall experience for clients and employees, reflecting INSURICA's commitment to innovation and excellence. The collaboration with Shevaun Williams & Associates has resulted in a series of striking images that capture the essence of the new brand.
The revamped company store will offer a range of updated merchandise, providing a fresh way for employees to connect with the INSURICA brand. The INSURICA Company Store now features nationallyrecognized brands like The North Face, Carhartt, Nike, Adidas, and Bad Birdie Golf.
