The Preparation of the Church for the Rapture - Revelation - Part V

Summary of the President’s Message

The Sunday Bible School on June 23rd, 2024 was held live, directly from the Mahanaim in Domingos Martins, Espírito Santo, with the participation of pastors Gedelti Gueiros and Gilson Sousa.

Words by Pastor Gilson Sousa:

We greet all our brethren with the peace of the Lord Jesus! We are starting the Sunday Bible School. The subject to be presented is the book of Revelation: the message of the Holy

Spirit resonates in the Faithful Church, in relation to the prophetic markers that are being fulfilled in our day, in the preparation of the Church for the rapture.

Gilson Sousa presented several brethren’s answers to the questions posed and various experiences and testimonies relating to Sunday School.

Words by Pastor Gedelti Gueiros:

I greet you all with the peace of the Lord. Let’s answer the questions.

Question

Reading Revelation, chapter 1, verse 1, we understand that the main purpose of the Book is to reveal Jesus. The question being asked is: what is the difference between revelation and interpretation?

Answer: Interpretation is a process developed in the human brain and depends on analysis, reasoning and conjecture, which come from human reason. Revelation depends exclusively on the Holy Spirit. It does not pass through any sensory organs.

“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John;” Revelation 1:1

You must know what interpretation and revelation are. There is reason and revelation. Man has been prepared to produce what is his, within the four measures of the universe (length, width, height, and time). He is within the limits of his creative work. It’s what is known.

“Reason depends on human knowledge. This knowledge is

acquired over time. Knowledge passes through the body through our senses (taste, touch, sight, hearing and smell).

When you hear a sound wave, it enters as a mechanical wave. The ear switches this wave into an electrical impulse for the brain to understand. We need this switch to have knowledge and understanding through reason. But revelation does not pass through our sensory organs. That’s why Paul writes:

But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

I Corinthians 2:9

“Revelation is different because it touches our soul. When God speaks to us, there is no rational dispute because his voice changes everything in our lives. Thus, reason has no way of disputing it. Because revelation is absolute.” Pastor Thiago Costa Ferreira

Philosophy and theology come from man’s reason. It’s not possible to exercise faith in this way because philosophical and theological reason is what sustains what it thinks faith is. Faith does not pass through the sensory organs and does not ask for permission.

“Sound is a mechanical wave. When a mechanical wave reaches our ear, the hearing system, through a series of elements, transforms this wave into a sequence of electrical impulses. If you take a person who can’t speak, hear, or see, they can live in isolation. The person who doesn’t have the Lord lives in isolation because of this. But when the Lord works in our lives, it’s different.

That’s why, in the Work, who is deaf will hear, the blind will see because it doesn’t depend on this commutation. After all, the Lord touches our soul.” Pastor Thiago Costa Ferreira

When John heard the voice of the Lord, he turned around and no longer saw Jesus as a man, but a glorified Jesus. The glorification of Jesus is in your life. It was the Holy Spirit that He gave.

“And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was...” John 17:5

This is the glory of the Lord in our lives. He died, but He rose

again. That is the glory He has given us.

The book of Revelation says: the number of the beast is 666.

“Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.” Revelation 13:18

This is wisdom. It’s a man’s number (6). It represents the three powers: political, economic and religious. This trilogy of evil will come together for the final battle. One of the beasts represents religion, Babylon. It was similar to the Lamb, but when it spoke it was the dragon speaking. Only those with

discernment can understand. Many are afraid of the sign of the beast but are doing everything the beast tells them to do.

We are studying the book of Revelation to deliver the revelations now. This is the opportunity. This is the final leg in the race. There are many books written about the book of Revelation, but what you see is only a rational understanding.

Question

Still in the same verse 1, identify three objectives of the Book of Revelation.

Answer:

1º. To reveal Jesus as the central figure of the Book of Revelation.

2º. Written for the servants of Jesus, his Faithful Church.

3º. To show the Time of Soon

The beauty of the book of Revelation is the revelation of Jesus. If you are a servant of Jesus, this book is for you. It was written for you. It also shows the time, the short time, that the church is living through. Jesus referred to this time as “the beginning of sorrows”. [Pastor Gilson].

Question

Reading the book of Revelation, chapter 1, verse 16, identify Jesus’ prophetic relationship with his Church in the following expressions:

a. “...He had in His right hand seven stars...”

b. “...a sharp two-edged sword...”

c. “...His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength...”

Answer:

a. Jesus’ ministry in the seven churches.

b. The Word that discerns all things.

c. The light that dispels darkness.

“He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength.” Revelation 1:16

Jesus is in control of the ministry. He has the seven stars in his right hand. The seven stars are the seven angels, and the seven candlesticks are the seven churches.

“The mystery of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden lampstands: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands which you saw are the seven churches.” Revelation 1:20

Question:

In Revelation, chapter 1, verse 5, identify the TRINITY in the person of the Lord Jesus in the following expressions:

a. The Faithful Witness.

b. The Firstborn from the dead.

c. The Prince of the kings of the earth.

Answer:

a. The Faithful Witness - THE HOLY SPIRIT.

b. The Firstborn from the dead - THE SON.

c. The Prince of the kings of the earth - THE FATHER.

“…and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who

loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood…” Revelation 1:5

Here we see the Trinity in this verse. The operation of the trinity must be identified throughout the Word.

May the Lord bless us.
