The Preparation of the Church for the Rapture - Revelation - Part III

Summary of the President’s Message

The Sunday Bible School on June 9, 2024 was held live, directly from Mahanaim in Domingos Martins, Espírito Santo, with the participation of pastors Gedelti Gueiros and Gilson Sousa.

Pastor Gilson Sousa’s Message:

We greet all the brethren with the peace of the Lord Jesus! We are starting the Sunday Bible School. The topic to be discussed is about the book of Revelation: the message of the Holy Spirit resonates in the midst of

the Faithful Church, in relation to the prophetic markers that are being fulfilled in our days, in the preparation of the Church for the rapture.

Pastor Gilson Sousa presented the answers from various brethren to the questions posed, as well as various experiences and testimonies regarding the Sunday Bible School.

“and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band.” “His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire;” “His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters.” Revelation 1:13-15

Answer:

Verse 14:

• White hair: holy thoughts.

• Eyes like a flame of fire: gaze that sees all things, flame of fire that removes spiritual coldness. He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit and with fire.

Verse 15:

• Feet that execute judgment: fine brass (polished copper) speaks of righteousness - (“by His stripes we are healed”, Isaiah 53).

• Voice like the sound of many waters: before the revelation, arguments are silenced.

Question

Where is the aspect of Judgment in this prophetic relationship of Jesus with His Church?

Answer:

Verse 15 - Feet like fine brass: feet that hasten to judgment.

Fine brass or polished copper, speaks of righteousness. Feet that crushed the serpent’s head, overcoming the condemnation of sin.

Revelation is the book of revelations of Jesus Christ. There are many things to say about this book and the story it contains has no end.

The church, throughout its history, has failed to achieve the purpose of this book. The reason for that is it is impossible to understand the prophetic through reason. When we study the book, we go from ancient times to the end of times. The book is the revelation of Jesus, which cannot be understood by human means. Therefore, understanding is challenging for many.

It is impossible to understand the book if we do not achieve

the revelation. Christianity that is out there does not change and will not change. The information from all the newspapers in the world is showing the failure of religion, which has always been a problem for man.

The man who has religion never converts. He invents some things and, because of that, the Holy Spirit does not operate.

People are content with their own reason (“I think, I believe”), but when it comes to spiritual matters, the Spirit of the Lord must command.

When studying the history of the church, our interest is in what John wanted to show us: that Jesus is not a beggar or a poor man who needs the solidarity of many. God does not need man. He is sovereign.

When we study the book, we begin to identify what John wanted. He wanted to present the faithful church with a glorified Jesus. John knew Jesus in His ministry as a man, he knew the Lord Jesus’ wanderings and everything the world was saying about Him. He was a man of sorrows, experienced in labors (“Is this not the carpenter’s son” - Matthew 13:55). Jesus was used to carrying wood on His shoulders. John knew that Jesus.

He was the Jesus with bloody feet, disheveled hair from walking through the scorching deserts of Galilee. On one occasion, Jesus entered the house of Simon the Pharisee, who wanted to hear His words. At that time, when visitors were received in someone’s house, the host would kiss their faces and give water for their feet, oil for their hair. Nonetheless, Jesus received none of this from

Simon and told him, “Simon, I have something to tell you. I entered your house, but you gave Me no water for My feet.”.

“And turning to the woman He said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave Me no water for My feet, but she has washed My feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head. You gave Me no kiss, but this woman has not ceased to kiss My feet since the time I came in. You did not anoint My head with oil, but this woman has anointed My feet with fragrant oil.” [Luke 7:44-46]

Jesus was showing that the Gospel is for those who wash feet, for those who have fellowship with Him. When the woman poured oil on Him, it was the price of her sin that came upon Him. The book of Song of Solomon says:

“His head is like the finest gold; His locks are wavy, black as a raven.” [Song of Solomon 5:11]

The oppression that was upon Him brought us peace, and by His stripes we were healed. Jesus was not a man with blond hair and green eyes. The Christ

that John knew had no beauty or comeliness. People did not esteem Him. The religious people already had a judgment about Him. When it came time to choose, they chose Barabbas. Are you in favor of Barabbas? Those who are in favor of Jesus live the experience of His glory.

John saw Jesus glorified as a priest. His priesthood is the universal priesthood of the believer, which Luther brought to light in the Reformation. The world has forgotten what the universal priesthood of the believer is. It is a mystery. Christianity has no mystery because it is based on the word of philosophers and theologians. The world is ending, and the philosophers and theologians are silent.

Currently, the church needs to know the revealed mysteries. If Jesus is not being revealed to your life, you will not know the mysteries of eternity. On the road to Emmaus, the disciples did not recognize Jesus, because Jesus is a revelation. He needs to reveal Himself. And He revealed Himself to them. Are you crying because of this? Have you forgotten what He said? Religion forgets what is prophetic. It lives on foolishness and forgets what is prophetic. And the conversation continued. Why are you sad? Jesus does not reveal Himself in religion. The disciples lived with Jesus, but did not know Jesus. And John shows Jesus glorified in Revelation.

John saw Jesus as the one who carried His cross, as a man. I walked that path and the guide said: Here, He fell. Here, Simon of Cyrene took up His cross. But was He not the mighty God?

Yes. But He became man and was infirm. Three years without eating, without a place to sleep. “And Jesus said to him, ‘Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.’” [Matthew 8:20]

“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”

[Isaiah 53:5]

Jesus does not need you for anything. There is a religious world that has excluded Jesus from the great project of eternity. John heard the voice and fell down as dead. The man who does not die (to himself) will never know Jesus. If he does not die, he will not know Jesus. And John fell down at His feet like a dead man. He was used to seeing Jesus’ suffering, but there he begins to see his Savior, the resurrected Jesus, the One who is Lord of the church, Lord of time, our hope. The One who was clothed with a long robe.

The text continues speaking about His characteristics. His hair was white like wool. These are holy thoughts. Everything that Jesus has is revealed by the action of the Holy Spirit. His feet were like fine brass: feet that hasten to judgment.

We are here with the purpose of knowing the mysteries of eternity. Thank God there is a people, all over the world, focused on this moment. And we are telling the world a little of what is the experience of the new birth.

May the Lord bless us.
