Inspire Our Nation is committed to the work of reconciliation and the practice of listening. We acknowledge the devastating effects of colonization and seek to join the Indigenous peoples of Canada in finding a new path forward, paved with the telling of truth and reconciliation. We are thankful to have our headquarters in Treaty 6 territory, the homeland of The Metis Nation and the Nêhiyawak, Nahkawinniniwak, Nakota, Dakota, Lakota, and Denesuline peoples. It is our privilege to thrive on Turtle Island (colloquially known as Canada).
STUDENTS IN THE LEADERSHIP PROGRAM LEARNED:
“It is possible for me to hear from God!”
“God is enough, so I am enough. I have thoughts and gifts worth sharing.”
“I gained confidence in who Jesus says I am. I also realized that although I am a work in progress, God will never give up on me.”
“I think being a leader like Jesus means being kind and not being boastful or disrespectful, acknowledging everyone and paying attention.”
“I have grown more confident this year as a leader and grown more confident in my identity in Christ! I think that being open and honest is important and being willing to ask for help.”
The leadership students participated in an annual Career Day. This event aims to ignite their passions and spark their potential. At the event, youth engaged in a variety of activities and assessments that help them learn about their unique giftedness while they seek to develop marketable skills for their future. Youth experienced hands-on workshops in the fields of science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics, social sciences, and ministry. There were also main sessions with speakers, panel discussions, music, games and prizes to remind youth they've been created by God on purpose for a purpose.
THE INDIGENOUS SPEAKER AT CAREER DAY WAS PROUD THAT HE SPEAKS HIS OWN LANGUAGE AND THAT REALLY INSPIRED ME.
I WILL NEVER FORGET THAT GOD HAS A PLAN AND PURPOSE FOR ME THAT HE WILL FULFILL.
AT CAREER DAY I LEARNED THAT WOMEN CAN DO MALE-DOMINATED JOBS.

“There was a hard time in my life when I lost my mom from cancer and I wasn’t sure how to deal with my emotions and my grief. That made me feel numb and alone. Since I joined the Inspire Leadership Program, I’ve grown a closer relationship with God. That made me accept that my mother is no longer suffering from cancer. Because of Jesus, my life has changed, but there are still bad days. I remind myself of God’s joy and to accept the fact that I am not alone and people are also struggling with the same issues I have. I have come to realize that God is now using my story to help others who have lost parents. God has become my strength and I know I can trust him with all my pain and doubts. ”
SHAWNA

“It feels like just yesterday I was here at the Leadership Program kick off event for the first time. It was as if the leaders in the group expected that something wonderful would happen, and as you know, it did. There are people in this room who know what God can do because they’ve seen what God has done! I didn’t understand it at the time, but I came to see it in the months before the Saskatoon Conference. I learned what it takes to run a conference and I had a front seat to see the confidence the Inspire team had in trusting God to complete this amazing feat with so much success. I felt so privileged to join the Winnipeg Inspire team, where we put on the first Inspire Conference in Winnipeg history! “God Dreams” were made into reality! We have been told that youth hold the keys to the life ahead, and although that is true, I would like to propose that prayer is the future. We as students, have been called by God into the purpose that He has for our lives. With our words, we can change what happens in our world!“

At Inspire Our Nation we believe that God has a dream for every young person to influence their world in positive ways. Anxiety, conformity, generational trauma, and economic disparity are some of the many struggles that threaten to silence youth and convince them their dreams aren’t know that God promises to use ce for their good and his glory.
“Not to be scared to talk about how I am a Christian.”
“To open a tiny home community for youth aging out of foster care.”
“For my friends to find God like I have.”
“To change how God is represented through the media.”
“To become an engineer.”
“To serve Jesus and spread the Gospel.”

or renewed their relationship with Jesus!
Every part of our conferences were influenced by our team of leadership students. They designed the merchandise, the promotional videos, planned the games, chose and served snacks, crafted the messaging, helped with decor and practiced servant leadership. Students also helped backstage, emceeing, setting up and tearing down, greeting, and praying with attendees. Our student leaders inspired youth across Manitoba and Saskatchewan with their leadership and their testimonies of overcoming struggles to achieve their God dreams.

“At the Inspire Conferences, many people’s lives were changed, including mine. I witnessed first hand how the Spirit of God helped, and healed various people. I got to pray for a girl and she gave me the most heartbreaking prayer request. As we prayed I could see some of the weight being lifted off of her and her friends came and supported her as well. Although the conference was filled with fun, and activities, booths, etc. there was a much greater impact of lives being changed and I know that there were more souls saved leaving those doors, than who entered in the beginning.”
“I will never forget God was telling me that your talents get you places, but character keeps you there and it’s in the uncomfortable moments that you build your character.”
41.9% of students began or renewed their relationship with Jesus!
In December, our student leaders and adult mentor team hosted Christmas events in the community of Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation. In partnership with local leaders and Elim Church, Inspire hosted a night of worship as well as a Family Fun Event with games, music, prizes, activities and powerful testimonies for the whole family. Thanks to City Serve Canada, we were also able to bring hundreds of beautiful Christmas gifts for people of all ages who attended the events. Most importantly, we celebrated Jesus’ humble birth and his gift of salvation. Inspire student leaders acted out the Christmas story, and testimonies were shared by local people who have experienced God’s life-changing power.

At our summer community events at Makwa Sahgaiehcan Cree Nation and Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation. Inspire student leaders helped to plan and lead activities, and showcase their skills through dance and singing performances in an effort to bring joy and inspiration to the community. We hosted an outdoor program for community members to enjoy and participate in. These events provided an opportunity for relationship building as families from various communities come together to enjoy them. We look forward to continuing to facilitate impactful events like this with our community partners in the future!
Thank you for supporting Inspire to walk alongside, mentor, and inspire the next generation of girls! We had 58 girls come from all over Saskatchewan for Girl Camp. We were excited to welcome girls from Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation, Makwa Sahgaiehcan Cree Nation, Saskatoon and the newcomer community.
We asked the girls, ‘What is something you will always take forward?’
“My love and confidence”
“Knowing how to pray”
“My Bible”
‘What did you learn about God through camp?’
“His love is infinite!”
“I learned that even when your life isn't going well God is with you and knows what is best for you.
“I learned that He answers specific prayers and wants a personal relationship with me."
