ideo games have dramatically have increased in realism over the past several years. With both graphical fidelity and gameplay realism, video games have increased immensely on to higher levels. It has been subject to the term “immersion” for many years from now, used in both the context of entertainment and marketing. Realism in video games is achieved via many different ways. Perhaps the most direct and cognitively closest is in the graphical quality of games. The first thing people notice about a video game is how “real” the graphics look like. The significance of perception to us is captured in the old adage ‘seeing is believing’.

However, the insight alone is not sufficient to lead us to feel that the gaming world is “real”. The bottom line is how one interacts with the world. One cannot perceive a virtual game world as being “real” unless it reacts in a “realistic” way. Video games that rely on amazing graphics alone are not “realistic” if they do not have a similarly realistic interactive world to match.

Effects of Realism on Immersion in Video Games

Creating appropriate gaming scenario that can cater for individual players has become an emerging challenge in procedural content generation. To enhance the evaluation of scenarios, one specifically studies the impact of the timing of events in a scenario and propose a generic scenario representation model that characterizes individual scenario based on the types and timing of events in the scenario.

Nowadays, video gaming is a unique phenomenon, where you find yourself projecting your intentions, actions and identity onto something else that is obviously not you, and yet is “you”. It is not simply “some character” that you are controlling. Not even a puppeteer tries to believe that he is actually the puppet.

In the case of virtual worlds there are now two bodies – the physical body and a virtual body. Many video games today try to link the two bodies together with haptic feedback devices which seem to be more realistic and exciting. But at the other point, they can bounce the player out of the illusion of the game world, a reminder that he is just a physical body controlling a virtual one.

Interactivity is an important component of constructing a believable virtual world. There are several ways in which the virtual reality can fail, but the illusion does not fail because it looks “unrealistic”. Rather, if one cautiously reads how many video game magazines and players discuss the issue of realism, they will find that their key complaints are more about how things “don’t make sense” in the game. So, it should be remembered that the virtual reality might collapse when the game world is inconsistent with the players’ expectations.

Chatbots and AI adoption are not only changing how customers are connecting with companies but also transforming the way the customers are going to communicate with the retailers in the near future.

Chatbots are not new and not all succeed. Instead of rushing to create a bot just for the sake of it, it must be ensured that chatbots are enjoyable and effective to help travelers discover the right information and provide the complete experience. In the past it has been observed that people often turn to chatbots when they don’t have the time or patience to browse through endless websites. Here bots make sure that a user won’t need to google each detail that a bot can provide itself by running basic code and algorithms.

Chatbots can be based on supervised learning which performs the task which is fed in them. A banking IVR can be a very simple example of a voiced based bot. However, now with the help of Machine learning and NLP bots are getting intelligent and they learn by the day to day interaction.

The smarter chatbots employ deep learning to analyze human input and generate a response. The response analysis and generation is learned through the deep learning algorithm that is employed in decoding input and generating a response again.
