Whilehisknowledgewasvast,histruepassionlayina specificdomain:GastrointestinalandSurgicalOncology, withaspecialfocusoncolorectalsurgeries.DrAfzalbecame amasterofbothopenandlaparoscopicprocedures, performingmorethan7,800surgicalprocedures,a significantnumberofwhichwereproctologicaland colorectal.
Healsomasteredthedelicateartoftherapeuticendoscopy, includingERCP,banding,polypectomies,dilatation,and stenting,performingover4,500diagnosticandtherapeutic endoscopies.
