The expected duration until graduation with the INSEAD PhD is 5 years of full-time study. The first 2 years are for coursework, which enables students to master the state-ofthe-art disciplines and methodologies of the practice and conduct of research in management. A comprehensive field examination marks the beginning of doctoral dissertation, and in the next 3 years, students devote time to research in their chosen field, culminating in the submission and defense of the dissertation. During the programme, they will publish in leading international management journals, which is in preparation for an exciting career in business academia. All students will be exposed to graduate teaching, through the teaching preparation and practicum and attending MBA classes (if applicable).
