El Fideicomiso de Promoción Turística de la Riviera Maya ha centrado todos sus esfuerzos en realizar campañas de promoción para invitar a que cada vez más gente conozca y se enamore de la inmensa belleza natural que ofrece esta tierra. Dentro de las labores realizadas por el Fideicomiso durante el 2005, se encuentra el proyecto Funjet Vacations, el cual consistió en llevar a los que son considerados como los mejores agentes de viajes en Estados Unidos, dentro de un viaje virtual por primera vez en vivo y en la historia, vía Internet; para mostrarles la situación en la que se encuentra nuestro destino. Además se incluyeron videos e interacción en vivo ayudando a las personas a estar mejor informadas de una manera fácil, rápida y divertida. Este proyecto incluyó cápsulas filmadas en 15 propiedades seleccionadas por Funjet y diferentes atractivos de la Riviera Maya. Así mismo, los agentes pudieron preguntar simultáneamente por medio de un foro virtual acerca de las condiciones de las propiedades y de la situación del destino a los expertos de la zona. Las emisiones se trasmitieron dos veces al día desde las instalaciones del Parque Xcaret, con un total de 8 transmisiones de 45 minutos cada una. De esta manera, se demostró que la Riviera Maya se encuentra operando con normalidad y está en óptimas condiciones para recibir al turismo. La magia de este sitio es algo que va en rápido crecimiento y ésta es la impresión que cada uno de estos visitantes se llevó para trasmitir en sus países, pues aquí el paraíso sí es para siempre. Amongst the various campaigns the Tourism Board put into effect on 2005, the Funjet Vacations project gathered a group of travel agents, considered the best among their industry in the United States, and took them on a live virtual journey via internet to see for themselves the situation our destination was living. This was the first time in history that an event such as this was done. Videos and live interaction to inform these agents in an easy, fast and fun manner were also included. Fifteen properties from Funjet and different points in the Riviera Maya were filmed and edited into segments that were part of the project. The travel agents could have all their questions about the condition of the properties and actual situation in the destiny answered by local experts in a simultaneous live chat room. The transmissions took place twice a day live from Xcaret Park, with a total of eight 45 minute feeds. Therefore, it was successfully demonstrated that the Riviera Maya is operating with normalcy and is in prime conditions to welcome tourism. The magic of this place is in rapid growth, and this was the impression these agents perceived and took back home, because here paradise is forever.
