Macu ha escogido usar playeras, bolsas y faldas como lienzos de expresión y lo hace de manera desenfadada y caricaturesca. IP: ¿Qué buscas transmitir con tus diseños? Macu: Busco revalorizar lo artesanal, lo que transmite la calidez de lo humano y no es perfecto. Intento atraer por medio de la sencillez usando la imaginación y el sentimiento.

Macu has chosen to use t-shirts, handbags, and skirts as canvas, and she does it in a bold, fun and caricatural manner. IP: What do you want to say with your designs? Macu: I look to renew the value of craftsmanship that transmits the warmth of mankind and is imperfect. IP: How do you de-fine your style? Macu: What we take for a “mistake” is nothing more than my starting point. This way I can make valid certain incongruent associations like a skirt and an umbrella and create an “umbrella skirt”. When we were kids we didn´t rely on our reason and memory to create, just on our imagination; so o avoid the limits that surround us I don´t give reason any time. Macu: Lo que llaman error en esta realidad es mi punto de partida. Con él puedo hacer válidas asociaciones incongruentes como una falda con un paraguas y así crear la “falda paraguas”; mientras que la infancia me aporta la pintura. Cuando somos chicos creamos sin pensar ni recordar, usamos únicamente la imaginación, por eso trato de no darle tiempo a la razón, para evitar los limites que nos rodean. Este es un concepto único en Quintana Roo y solamente lo encuentras en Playa del Carmen. Las seis estaciones de barril en La Diez, sirven la cerveza mexicana lager y ámbar de alta calidad. Se mantienen hasta 240 litros en barriles a temperaturas casi congeladas para asegurarse una cerveza fría en todo momento. Cuentan con un medidor digital que registra la cantidad de cerveza que se ha tomado. A sólo $1.75 pesos la onza, un tarro de 12 onzas sale a $21 pesos. Además te incluyen las típicas botanas mexicanas, un detalle a la altura de una auténtica cantina. Esta tiene que ser la manera más fácil y casual de gozar de una buena chela bien fría con amigos. Nada más asegúrate de tomar una o más de las seis muy populares mesas con estación de barril, siéntate y con tu tarro congelado, escoge entre lager o ámbar, sirve y disfruta de la cerveza más fría en Playa del Carmen. Justyn Jones, owner of La Diez and mastermind of this innovative concept, has skillfully put together a self-service draft beer station using components from Germany, Canada and the United States-all beer loving countries we might add. This is a one-of-a-kind concept in the state of Quintana Roo, and available only in Playa del Carmen. All six beer stations in La Diez serve your choice of ice-cold premium Mexican lager or pale ale. Up to 240 liters of brew are kept in almost freezing temperatures to ensure ice cold draft every time. A digital flow meter at each table keeps track of how much beer is poured into frozen mugs. What is a Fideicomiso? A real estate trust similar in concept to trusts set up in the United States. Under this type of trust, a Mexican bank must be designated as the trustee and, as such, holds legal title to the property and is the owner of record.

What is a Trustee? The Trustee, usually a Mexican bank, holds legal title to the real estate property during the term of the trust contract, and is also empowered with the rights necessary to achieve the objectives of the contractual agreement that creates the Trust.

What characteristics would a Trust Contract have? The legal effects of the Trust Contract is that the Trustee will keep temporary ownership of the real estate, thus complying with Mexican laws that prohibit foreigners from acquiring full ownership of real estate along what is known as the “Restricted Zone”, a belt of land 50 kms wide along the coastlines and 100 kms wide along the borders of Mexico.
En el contrato aparece el banco como el dueño del título de bienes raíces y lo guarda durante la duración del contrato-normalmente de 50 años. Por su lado, el comprador, aparece como el Beneficiario y tiene el beneficio y uso absoluto de la propiedad. Por lo tanto, como extranjero no puede registrar títulos de propiedades en las “Zonas Restringidas”, pero con toda seguridad puede tener el interés de más beneficio en un contrato fideicomisario. De cierta manera, es parecido a tener el 100% de acciones en una compañía. ¿Cuáles son los derechos y obligaciones que adquiere el Beneficiario al celebrarse el contrato? El Beneficiario tiene el uso y posesión completa de la propiedades decir que puede vivir en el terreno y llevar a cabo cualquier modificación y/o mejoramiento. Además, tiene el derecho de instruir al Fideicomitente en materia de hipotecas, rentas, ventas o transferencias de la propiedad a otras personas o corporaciones. También tiene la obligación de pagar deudas del inmueble tales como predial, cuotas de mantenimiento, agua, electricidad, etc. La mejor recomendación es acudir a un experto en el tema que le guíe paso a paso en una transacción tan importante como esta.
In the Trust Deed, the title of the real estate is handed to over to the Trustee, who would hold the property during the term of the Trust Contract —usually 50 years. The buyer appears as the Beneficiary and has the absolute use and avail of the property. Therefore, while as a foreigner you cannot register titles to land within the “Restricted Zone”, you can certainly own the beneficial interest of the Trust contract. In a way, it is similar to owning 100% of the shares in a corporation, and thus for most practical purposes it is like ownership. What rights and obligations does the Beneficiary acquire upon celebration of the Trust Contract? As the Trust Beneficiary, you will have the use and possession of the property —that is, you may live on the land and undertake any alterations and/or improvements. You also have the capacity to instruct the Trustee on mortgaging, renting, selling or transferring the real estate from your beneficial interest to another person or corporation. You will also have the obligation to pay duties on the property, such as annual property tax, condominium maintenance fees, water, electricity, annual Trustee fee, and so forth. El lunes 15 de Agosto, en Riviera Maya, México, se celebrará por tercera ocasión la festividad de origen italiano “Ferragosto”, con lo cual se pretende establecer el record mundial de la pizza más larga. Iniciando a las 6:00 p.m., este evento tendrá lugar a lo largo de la famosa 5ta Avenida, la calle peatonal más concurrida de Playa del Carmen, donde se extenderán dichos metros de pizza desde la calle 4 hasta aproximadamente la calle 14.
For third consecutive year, the Riviera Maya will celebrate on August 15th the Italian festivity known as “Ferragosto”, in which the goal is to establish the record for the longest pizza in the world. This event starts at 6:00 p.m. along the famous 5th Avenue, the main pedestrian street in the city, where over 152 feet of pizza will be placed from 4th street up to approximately 14th street.
El Comité de Eventos de la Oficina de Promoción Turística de la Riviera Maya en conjunto con la Asociación de Hoteles, restaurantes, parques y sus patrocinadores Corona y Casa Cuervo colaborarán en este divertido evento, que pretende lograr la extensión en pizza, superior a los 450 metros lineales; abarcando cinco cuadras. Cada empresa participante, tendrá presencia, con “metros” de pizza, la cual habrán de elaborar y obsequiar.

De acuerdo con el libro de “Records Mundiales Guinness”, la pizza más grande registrada se elaboró en Sudáfrica en 1990, con una dimensión de 37.4 metros de diámetro. Para su elaboración se utilizaron 4,500 kg de harina, 90 kg de sal, 1,800 kg de queso, and 900 kg de puré de tomate. Este año, Ferragosto en la Riviera Maya pretende establecer la pizza más larga, así como ver la posibilidad de registrarla ante este libro.
This year over 30 establishments such as the Hotel Association of the Riviera Maya, the Ecoarchaeological park of Xcaret, Aquatic-park of Xel-Ha, APSA (Scuba Dive Association), Canirac ( restaurant association of playa del Carmen ), the Local Tourism office, the Small Hotel Association and many others are participating with pizza. The inaugural act will count with the presence of Carlos Joaquin González, municipal president, and other distinguished personalities. The information about the largest pizza in the “Guiness Book of World Records” establishes a record of a 122 ft long pizza in 1990 in South Africa. It was oven cooked and the ingredients included 9,920 lb. of flour, 198 lb. of salt, 3,968 lb. of cheese and 1,984 lb. of tomato puree. This year, Ferragosto in the Riviera Maya pretends to establish the record for the longest pizza.
