Sylvia Park’s parent company, Kiwi Property, has invested $11.5 million to create ZARA’s new store in an eight-month development programme. “The new site, located in the heart of Sylvia Park, has an extensive store front which is five times the size of one of our standard fashion retailers. the company can have a new design created and distributed in just 1-2 weeks and has control of every element of production from design to distribution. It launches around 12,000 new designs a year thanks to a huge team of designers who are constantly changing and editing designs based on customer feedback. Despite its massive global presence, 50% of Zara’s products are still manufactured in Spain. ZARA is also one of the most ecofriendly companies. It uses solar panels and wind turbines at its headquarters in A Coruña. It is also one of the few clothing brands that produces 100% toxic-free clothing. With the store set to open to the public this spring, ZARA will join a range of national and international retailers in one of the best shopping destinations in the country.
