Hardware Design- Home Automation System The hardware design of the Home Automation System is divided into two main modules
Handheld Microphone Module It incorporates a microphone with the RF module that works on Zigbee protocol and a voice recognition unit. The human voice is captured through a microphone and the signals are sent from the voice recognition module through Zigbee. Important features of the handheld microphone module are:
• Self-contained stand-alone speech recognition circuit • User programmable • Multi-lingual • Non-volatile memory backup • Simple interface to control external circuits & appliances
Appliance Control Modules It includes control modules with relay control circuits. Once the voice command is recognized, the controls are sent to the specific application address through the Zigbee communication protocol. Each application is controlled by relay control circuits.
Software Design- Home Automation System The software part of the home automation system includes receiving transmission and recognition of voice. Zigbee protocol is used in this system.
