Studentswhodoparticularlygoodworkrelativetotheirability,ormakeapositivecontributiontothelifeof theschool,receiveaCommendation.TheCommendationcardisissuedbyateacher,TutororHouseparent; thestudentshouldtakeittothePrincipalforrecording,beforetakingithometoshowtohisorherparents.
Attheendoftheschoolyear,prizesareawardedforachievementinacademicsubjects,incommendations awarded,inmusicandforgeneralcontributiontothelifeoftheschool.
ExpectationsandSanctions TheSchoolʼsBehaviourManagementStrategyprovidesarangeofsanctionsinagradualscaleofincreasing severitydesignedtoencouragethestudenttowardsanacceptablelevelofattainmentorbehaviour.Possible sanctionsforminoroffencesorpooracademicworkincludedetentions,gating(i.e.notbeingallowedtoleave theschoolpremisesor,forboarders,thehouse),academicreportorsupervisedprivatestudy.
Seriousmisbehaviour,orpersistentacademicindiscipline,mayresultinaSchoolDetention,whichtakesplace a erschool,duringʻfreetimeʼ. ThestudentwillalsobeinterviewedbytheVice-Principaltodiscusstheoffence andtheirfutureconduct.
Suspension Seriousorrepeateddisciplinaryoffencesmayresultinthestudentʼssuspensionforbetweentwodaysandtwo weeks,andafinalwarningmayalsobeissued.Whilesuspended,thestudentisexpectedtoremainathome duringtheschoolday,andworkwill,wheneverpossible,beset.Asuspendedstudentmaynotattendany schoolfunction(e.g.concert)orsocialevent.(Astudentmayalsobesuspendedwhilstaninvestigationintoan allegedseriousincidenttakesplace.)
Followingasuspension,thestudent(andifpossiblehisorherparentsorguardian)willberequiredtoattend
aninterviewwithamemberoftheschoolSeniorLeadershipsTeamtodiscusshis/herfutureconduct.
Expulsion InthemostextremecircumstancesthePrincipalreservestherighttoexpelagirlorboyfromtheschool. Althoughthestudentʼsbestinterestswillbetakenintoconsideration,theinterestsofthewholeschool communityandthenatureoftheoffencewillbeofparticularsignificance.Insuchcircumstances,parentshave arightofappealtotheschoolgovernors.
ThePrincipalisrequiredtoactfairlyandinaccordancewiththeprinciplesofnaturaljustice.ThePrincipalwill makeadecisiononacase-by-casebasis,willexpelastudentfromtheSchoolonlyasalastresortandwillnot expelastudentotherthaningravecircumstances.
Withdrawalofrighttoboard Forrepeatedboardingoffences,orwherethecontinuedpresenceofthestudentisfelttobedetrimentalto goodorderintheHouse,aboardingplacemaybewithdrawneithertemporarilyorpermanentlyatthe Principalʼsdiscretion.

Anystudentfoundtobeinvolvedwithillegalorotherharmfuldrugswhileunderschooljurisdictioneitheron oroffschoolpremisescanexpecttobesuspendedfromschoolandmaysubsequentlybeexpelleddepending onthecircumstances.Theschoolreservestherighttoinformthepolice.
