STYLE

Beginning History began in 1975, when it was opened the first ZARA store Fashion Director of the fashion house Louis Vuitton Daniel Drinks described Zara as “Possibly the most innovative and breaking retail chain in the world.” Also Zara was described by CNN as a “Spanish success story”.

Amancio Ortega

The history of the brand Zara is associated with the name of the Spanish entrepreneur Amancio Ortega (Amancio Ortega). Family Amancio was very poor, and at the age of thirteen the boy is forced to quit school and work messenger in the store shirts and then the seller in a haberdashery store. Fourteen young Amancio and his family moved to a Coruña (Galicia), where initially engaged in the shirring fabrics, and then became an apprentice at one of the Italian designer. The owner of the Studio said the father Amancio: “you Know, the tailor will not make, the tailor should be easy, sociable”. Then anybody also could not think that this tailor will achieve great heights and become the richest man in Europe.

Actually the history of the brand “Zara” began with the discovery in 1975 of a store in La Coruna. Interestingly, originally the store was called “Zorba” after watching Amancio Ortega of the film “Zorba the Greek”. However, it appeared that near already there is a bar with the same name. Then, together with the bar owner Amancio took the letters already made for signs, and mixed them together to see if we can turn something worthwhile . So they discovered the name Zara (“zara” in Persian means “gold”)....

The history of pantyhose. I mean, when was the last time you sewed the tights? Never? Indeed, why, because it is not aesthetically pleasing, not sexy and generally bad form. Yes, we can afford to throw away tights, noticing puff on them, but once they were a luxury item!. Let’s start with the fact that tights are descended from the stocking, and those for many centuries have been the subject of both female and male wardrobe. They were made of cloth and thin leather, only in the XVI century in Spain figured out how to knit them manually. One such couple as an expensive gift received from Spain and king of England Henry VIII. However, 12 stylus magazine

after a couple dozen years, his daughter Elizabeth I “retaliated” fashionable world, entering into the everyday life of knitted silk stockings. And all thanks to the fact that the priest William Lee (William Lee) invented the miracle machine, which allowed purl 800(!) loops per minute (knitter 60-80 loops). Knitted stockings were replaced sewn from silk and velvet, and began to bring in the British Treasury a stable income, and prudent Queen banned the export of machinery and technologies under penalty of death. Eighteenth-century women finally and irrevocably dressed in stockings. It happened with the filing of Madame de

Pompadour, mistress of Louis XV. She styled lace stockings, one pair of which was close to the annual average income of a nobleman. In 1868, was presented the first industrial machine, which allowed to produce 40 pairs of stockings (seamed) at the same time. But the real boom occurred in 1940, when on sale last achievement of science and light industry – nylon stockings. They first appeared on the shelves of the new York stores on may 15, 1940, and on the same day it was sold 780 000 pairs! During one year alone American women bought 64 million pairs!

Over time, the stockings are becoming thinner and more transparent, and the 50-ies of different colors appear. In 1952 invented nylon, which makes the production cheaper and stockings — more accessible Tights appear only at the beginning of 60ies, rather, they patented the year before, but in fashion after the invention of the mini skirt. Funny ladies before and came up with something similar, attaching stockings to underpants. In Soviet Union the first tights were brought from Czechoslovakia. The packaging was

adorned with the inscription “kalhoty” (which means “pants”. In turn, the Czech word the word “kalhoty” comes from the Italian “caliga” — “soldier’s Shoe”), and according to GOST they were called “Chulkova the breeches,” and at the salary 90 rubles worth a fortune — from 7 to 15 rubles. Therefore, they were treated really tenderly, sewed, raised loop (invented for this special hooks), mending, painting, came up with different ways to help prolong their life. But even when tights have never, never been worn, they were in no hurry to throw away. One of them was knitting mats, DIY games, kept them in onions, filtered through them paint and

whitewash and did a lot of useful things.
