The Total Foodservice team is a bunch of people mad about food. We believe it’s pointless selling a product we’re not passionate about and that’s why every product that comes into the business is considered carefully, meets stringent quality control and, of course, passes the taste test! But we also understand it’s not just about how the food tastes. We want to help you create really different dishes on your menu to get ahead of the competition and so our constant new product development allows us to bring new , innovative and exciting products to you. We also know your products have to be practical, convenient and suitable for your style of business. That’s why we have a team of Area Representatives who have qualified in and gained working experience in the catering industry, allowing them to bring to you a first hand understanding of your needs and a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Prior to joining Total Foodservice I had trained and worked as a Chef for fourteen years around the North of England, France and the Channel Islands. Working in such different places has given me the experience and privilege of working with some really amazing food produce and creating inspired menu ideas. I was Head Chef at just 20 years old and have worked in Kitchens in Hotels, Restaurants, Bistros, Cafes and Gastro Pubs and have lead some very busy kitchens. I still love working with food and getting creative with menu items. I started my journey at the age of 15 washing pots and preparing vegetables at Bagden Hall in Huddersfield. My time there saw me progress to full time Sous Chef completing a BTEC National Diploma in Catering and GNVQ Level’s 1&2 along the way. I still have a great passion for food and as Area Manager I use my experience and knowledge of food to advise customers on correct product choices, menu support & development, to bounce ideas around and give an honest point of view, chef to chef. When my advice and support benefits someone else’s reputation & livelihood I get a great sense of achievement knowing that it is testament to my vegetable peeling days 15 years ago. I got the ‘bug’ for food when I started working in a pub kitchen in my early teens. So I attended catering college in Scarborough and with my qualifications in hand I started working for the famous Betty’s Cafe Tearooms in Harrogate & Taylors (now Little Betty’s) in York. In the years that followed I set up my own Mobile Kitchen Business and later became a Recruitment Consultant where I came across Total Foodservice. I started my catering Career working weekends part-time at Barton Grange Hotel near Preston which inspired me to pursue a career in catering when I left school. After 20 years in the industry i decided to try something different and started working for Total Foodservice. Now I am Group Account Manager and I feel my catering experience has allowed me to help develop all aspects of my customers businesses particularly in menu planning and advising on various food matters.
