The response to MIFF 2023 has been incredible from exhibitors from around the world, with over 80,000 sqm of our exhibition space covering both MITEC as well as WTCKL completely sold out. We have achieved a new record of 671 exhibitors from 11 countries, which is almost 12% more than our previous best, giving our full house of buyers from 130 countries plenty of options to source just what they need.

It is my great honour and pleasure to welcome all of you to Kuala Lumpur and Malaysian International Furniture Fair 2023 which is the 29th year of our annual show.

MIFF resumed business as a ‘live’ event since last year after going digital during the pandemic years. As businesses continue to recover, our focus continues on being a resilient partner in the industry at all times to help retailers secure suppliers and inventory.

MIFF has built a reputation for delivering a highquality trading platform and generating impactful business opportunities for exhibitors and buyers to expand their networking.

Top manufacturers and exporters from Malaysia as well as companies from abroad are making a strong return to MIFF. Furniture China, the world’s biggest industry event, will debut in MIFF for the first time outside Shanghai.

I wish to thank the MIFF Team which has worked very hard to bring the show together in eight months after the 2022 in-person special edition when pandemic restrictions were eased in Malaysia. Building on the success of our decade long strategic partnership with MIFF, we are confident the show will deliver yet again a strong boost to Malaysia’s furniture exports and fresh new business opportunities to expand into the international market.

There is a big number of Muar companies showcasing in MIFF and part of them will be at the Muar Hall in MITEC which is coordinated by our association in MITEC.

Muar Furniture Association is the most prominent and largest industry organisation in Malaysia. Muar was officially declared the Furniture City of Malaysia in 2018 and accounts for 65% of the country’s furniture exports. MFA has 800 members.
