Voting YES on Proposition LL will allow Colorado to keep money that has already been raised for Healthy School Meals for All.
Voting YES on Proposition MM continues free school meals for all beyond this school year, while also increasing wages for front-line school nutrition professionals, training and equipping schools to use fresh ingredients instead of processed products, and funding schools to purchase ingredients from Colorado farmers and ranchers. After Healthy School Meals for All is fully funded, Proposition MM will also support SNAP, a program that helps 300,000 Colorado families afford groceries each month (and recently faced federal cuts.)
Both LL and MM are needed to continue Colorado's Healthy School Meals for All program and keep kids fed. And, these measures will not have a tax impact for Colorado households that make less than $300,000 per year. MM will limit state income tax deductions only for households that make $300,000 or more per year.

Great Education Colorado does NOT endorse candidates for any elected office. But we strongly encourage voters to do the research to find out which school board candidates are fully committed to public education.
Questions to ask your local school board candidates:
What is your plan to support adequate and equitable school funding at both the local and state level?
Are you aware of the state-commissioned school finance adequacy studies? If so, how would you work to ensure that their recommendations are implemented and funded at the state level?
What is your plan to ensure that our district schools are welcoming to all students, regardless of their zip code, learning needs, identities, skin color, or language?
Will you commit to ensuring implementation of Colorado’s social studies standards, as adopted by the Colorado State Board of Education? Do you support vouchers at the federal, state, or local level?
