Improve teacher collaboration through participation in professional learning communities and data teams focusing on the utilization of data to inform instruction and student academic growth. Improve instruction through job embedded professional development. Implementation of effective behavioral and instructional interventions school wide through RTIi and PBIS.

State Goals

The Oregon Department of Education is partnering with school districts and local communities to ensure a 90% ontime, four year graduation rate by 2025. To progress toward this goal, the state will prioritize efforts to improve attendance, provide a well-rounded education, invest in implementing culturally responsive practices, and promote continuous improvement to close opportunity and achievement gaps for historically and currently underserved students.

Safe & Welcoming Environment

Metolius Elementary School makes every effort to ensure that all people feel welcomed by our team. Our “All Call” system sends out text, email and phone in both Spanish and English to ensure that all our families are communicated with.

We pride ourselves in putting school wide safety at the top of our list. We continue to work and develop on school wide safety plans to ensure that our students can focus on learning and not have to worry about safety.
