Yours in Friendship and Service
Sulette van der Berg
National Webmaster 2022/2023
Welcome everyone to our new magazine Infinity.
Yes it has been a long awaited labour of love but I’m sure you will agree with me that the result is truly amazing.
The word Infinity means unlimited or endless. We feel that this is the perfect word to explain what it means to be part of our amazing Association, Ladies Circle. Be it in caring, compassion or empathy or the opportunity for personal growth. Members of Ladies Circle not only see opportunities to care for our communities, each other but also have endless amounts of fun while taking part in their projects, socials and meetings.
The bonds of friendships developed last lifetimes. Not only within our own Circles but these bonds stretch infinitely around the world to all reaches. It is our differing cultures and countries that are united under our motto of Friendship and Service that makes this Association the unique uniting force that it is.
In our magazine we will be highlighting just some of the wonderful projects and event that each of our Circles have been involved with. To share a glimpse into their worlds and how they impact their communities.
This is just the beginning of a legacy publication. And I look forward to reading about each publication in the future.
To my Circlers. Congratulations on each and every project and event. The impact you make, even though you may think it’s small, can have a lasting impression on each and every life you touch. So I encourage you to keep doing what you do. To keep going out into your section of the world and see how you can make a difference.
But most importantly, remember to have fun. Your enthusiasm is so infectious and your light will be seen. Locally, nationally and even internationally.
Yours, as always, in Friendship and Service

Edenvale is currently the oldest existing Circle in South Africa. We chartered in 1982 prior to our National Board being established. Our logo, the pink is for ladies. Our predecessors always instilled them the importance of tradition which they have worked hard to uphold.
Meaning of our logo:
The number 6 comes from their brother organisation Edenvale Round Table no 63. We adopted the 6 to show our bond and willingness to work together. In our logo we have the cosmos flower which grew prolifically in the area before it got build up. The swirl is just to add something extra to give the logo beauty and represent circle. Our logo was recreated in 2006 to modernise it.

LC7 is currently the third oldest existing Circle in South Africa. Our passion to circle lies in the work we do in our community, for the elder, the children, those in need and the voiceless. We love to care for our furry friends and have spent many a day playing, caring and spoiling the Huskies at Nordic Rescue.
Meaning of our logo: Our logo was updated in 2021. We respect the past and heritage. The first LCI Board drank their gin out of teacups at their first AGM. Keeping their connection to their brothers at Round Table Northridge 117 they kept the Strelitzia flower. The King Protea is their link to Ladies Circle South Africa. They affectionately refer to their prospective Circlers as “teaspoons”.

Benoni 25 was chartered on the 22nd August 2020 with attendance from ladies circles from around the world as this was an online event. Benoni 25 truly embraces the motto of Friendship and Service as we have fun whilst serving our community.
Meaning of our logo:
Protea- because we are part of LCSA... it's the LCSA Symbol & NationalFlower. The rope, signifies the Benoni girls all being "tied" or connected to one another. This element symbolises water, as Benoni is well known for its many lakes and dams. We chose Rose Gold as our colour as Benoni was known for Gold Mines in its time, and as a tie to our affiliated Round Table (Golden East 181) but we chose Rose Gold as it is more feminine.

Our carefully designed logo is to represent ourselves and the change we would like to make in our community. The King Protea - Ladies Circle SA and friendship nationally and internationally. Coal - Witbank was established because of coal mines and this represents their local community. Diamond - diamonds are formed from coal (their community). They are solid and unbreakable, sparkle and shine and make a difference wherever they are. Silver - it is a timeless and classic colour. It is a colour of affluence and modernism. There is always a silver lining in every difficult or trying situation.

Ladies Circle South Africa uses the international platform Circler.World
As a result, we are in contact with our Ladies on a local, regional, national and international level.
Circler.World is the platform of Ladies Circle:
With which you can easily find other Ladies on a regional, national and international level. With which you can quickly get in touch with number clubs all over the world. Allows you to share activities, meetings and minutes as well as photos with Ladies in your own Circle. With which you can easily find and visit events of Ladies and Circles on a regional, national as well as international level. With which you can quickly get in touch with Side by Side clubs from the Round Table Family around the world.
In 2006 Ladies’ Circle International & Round Table International signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the two clubs to encourage a closer relationship whilst assisting each other, the Side by Side agreement. At the International Annual General Meeting in 2010 it was agreed to recognize and respect this Memorandum of Understanding and the ongoing cooperation between the two organisations by adding item 4 in the Aims and Objectives – To promote, co-ordinate & develop working relationships with Round Table International, Tangent Club International, Agora Club International and 41 International wherever possible.
Agora Club International is a trendy and vibrant Club, which is home to former Ladies’ Circle members, but also welcomes interested women from diverse horizons sharing the same values. Members of Agora Club International are women who love to participate in interesting social and cultural activities on local, national and international level.
Round Table International bring young men aged between 18 and 40 (or 18 and 45) together, to challenge, inspire and learn from each other We share ideas openly with trust, and empower each individual to make a positive impact at home, work and in his community. We call it Tabling and we do this locally where we meet regularly. We plan and organize meetings and events for ourselves and others that focus on personal development, fun & fellowship and community service. Together we form an international network of bright young men.
In Tangent Club International, we wish to pursue the best we gained from Ladies’ Circle International –friendship, unity and the LC-spirit. Tangent Club is a natural extension to Ladies’ Circle, so the friendships and networks established at Ladies’ Circle can be maintained, when the upper age limit of Ladies’ Circle is reached.
41 International is an organisation which further develops the friendship and comradeship which the members enjoyed when they were members of Round Table. 41 Clubs, which are clubs for former members of Round Table (‘Ex-Tablers’ or ‘Old Tablers’), started to be formed in the early 1940s and 41 International was formed in 1975. 41 International members manage 7 international Youth exchange programs annually for their children. The YAP (Young ambassadors’ Program) to let them discover what Round Table is about and encourage them to join a club locally.
Ladies’ Circle can be found in over 40 countries around the world and in total we have over 1100 clubs – or Circles as we like to call them – and around 13 000 members world wide.
Following in the footsteps of the hugely successful LCI AGM in 2016, we hope to replicate its success when we host the upcoming RTI World Meeting. Round Table Southern Africa is excited to host the RTI World Meeting 2023, taking place between September 6th and 10th in Cape Town. As an association, we stepped up to take on the role of hosts, and some of our fellow associations graciously stepped back to allow us this opportunity. This will be the first time in 17 years that the World Meeting will be held in South Africa and the first time in 9 years that it will be hosted in the AMI region
We also want local Tablers and Ladies to attend the World Meeting, as this will be the most affordable opportunity to do so. We offer many flexible options to allow you to join in affordably with our sisters from around the world. Our registrations are open at www.rtiwm.org. Since opening our registrations on January 11th, 24% of our registrations of over 200 are members of Ladies Circle. We will clearly have a lot of international circlers here in September.
Round Table Bosveld in cooperation with Round Table Southern Africa is extremely happy to host ARTSA 2023 at the Weesgerus Holiday Resort! We are looking forward to a truly momentous occasion. We as Tablers commit ourselves every year to so many needy causes and this is the time to attend to the official business of RTSA whilst having fun with our fellow Tablers.
We strive to adopt past experiences, adapt them to the changing needs and improve the overall ARTSA experience for our Tablers! The RTSA AGM is not a fundraising project and the success should not be gauged by the amount of surplus funds but rather the number of Tablers in attendance.
