Two interactive installations for Detour Design Festival that explore the concept of time and how we can learn about our relationship with it.
The first piece is an analogy with a clock that records users’ responses to the question of what we choose throughout time. It invites us to visualize the visitors’ answers and reflect on our choices.
A blend of street art, technology, and the ancient technique of paper folding compose the artwork, designed as part of the team at Domestic Data Streamers and Hamill Industries.
The second artwork delves into the strong presence of good and bad memories in our everyday life. Using two printers, the good memories are written on paper to endure over time, while the bad memories are written but instantly erased using a heat-erasable marker.

On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Banc dels Aliments, an exhibition was developed to showcase, through data, the environmental impact generated by food waste at the household level.
This experience was divided into 4 areas that invite us to reflect on our relationship with food. From the food purchase, its domestic processing, wastage, to an interactive space that proposes a behavior change in response to this research.

Interactive installation for the pediatric oncology hospital in Barcelona, San Joan de Déu.
The project involved the creation of totems that served as gateways between a virtual reality and the existing reality, bringing children closer to the Collserola Forest, a forest adjacent to the hospital.
This virtual world, filled with light and color, was not only an interactive experience but also an educational one where children could interact with animations of native species found in the forest.
Five pieces of analog interaction would modify the scene with changes in color, weather factors, characters, or occasional peculiarities found in the forest. The installation, located in the hospital lobby, has become a space where waiting becomes an entertaining game.

Beautiful Failures is the story of constructiondestruction-construction that reflects on the rich history of the Barcelona Pavilion, decoding and rethinking its architecture based on its materiality and offering new readings of the pavilion’s nature.
Beautiful Failures deconstructs the iconic building for the first time, [lifting the travertine slabs], exposing its fragility along with its various truths, repairs, corrections, and constructive differences to the original.
By cataloguing and installing more than 2,000 defective glass pieces collected from glassblowing workshops around Barcelona, we explore the transparency and reflectiveness of glass – material capabilities that revolutionized modern architecture at the beginning of the 20th century, epitomized by the Barcelona Pavilion.

Anima Ànima is a project that was assembled entirety by MEATS students and undergraduate students for LlumBcn festival 2020, the project was led by Cube.bz and MEATS directors.
In a world in constant competition, the more information is collected about people, the more power is obtained about them. As fast as light, our data circulates around the world to become part of an archived data system. The lights with which we can interact with in Ànima become symbols of collective information which reminds us that we belong to one system. The lights you see coming from thousands of optical fibers, indicate that we are all equally and in distinctly linked to one digital soul.

The reform of this house of the 29s results from the change from a large family system to a family of two. The famous “”empty nest”” represents a change in the family’s lifestyle, leaving unused or barely usable spaces, and generating costly maintenance of the house for an economy of retirees.
The division of the house into two apartments was chosen with a spatial logic adapted to modern times, but without neglecting the historical details of the house.

Design and execution of offices and commercial spaces.
Design and execution of the commercial area of the UR company; showroom, offices, frontdesk and outdoor spaces.
The idea starts from a functional organization of the work areas according to the system of collection of the materials that the company sells. Equipped walls are generated, which improve the fluidity of a reduced space.
The display of the services and products sold in the company are found throughout the design of the space. Cladding in stainless steel, folded, CNC cuts, among others, are part of the architectural proposal.

The pavilion consists of ten prisms anchored to the ground that rotate around its center when manually pushed.
As we approach the plaza, we can see three isolated prisms transforming the space while projecting colorful shadows. They also act as interactive urban furniture, offering a configuration of compartmentalized seating on the three sides of each prism. Additionally, they serve as visible information panels displaying all the activities and the festival program on wooden boards.
The other seven prisms are grouped together, creating an enclosed space. They also provide a venue for talks, meetings, and presentations to take place inside.
The circle is formed with mysticism, and its interior can only be reached by passing through the translucent panels, causing them to rotate inwards. This movement distorts the view and filters the sunlight, tinting the plaza with color. These colors are inspired by the vineyards of Logroño.
