WORLD CHANGERS Legend Johnson

Micah Maness

Why did you choose to transfer to IWU?

How would you describe your transfer experience?

I wasn't sure that I wanted to continue with "the college experience" living on a college campus; I wanted to finish school online. My last school was considered a "party school" and I had a hard time making friends because that wasn't really my scene. But I felt during the summer that God was really calling me here so that I could have a Christ-centered education and be surrounded by people who genuinely cared about who I am and lovingly challenging me so I can experience growth instead of doubt.

There was always people assisting me and making sure I was fully taken care of. I was never afraid to ask a question and knew someone would be glad to help me.

MAJOR: THEATER GRAD YEAR: 2020

What advice do you have for transfers considering IWU? Take the leap. No matter where you're at in life or in your walk, no matter what you're facing or what struggle made you consider transferring, you will find friends and professors and staff that will come alongside you and make you feel at home at IWU. Transferring was the best decision I could have made regarding my college career. 8 Indiana Wesleyan University

MAJOR:COMPUTER SCIENCE GRAD YEAR: 2020

As a transfer, how would you describe your experience as part of the IWU community? I never really engaged in community at my last university, but at IWU it was effortless to become a part of something more than myself.

Zach Zylstra

How would you describe your transfer experience?

What advice do you have for transfers considering IWU?

MAJOR:ELEMENTARY EDUCATION GRAD YEAR: 2020

I really enjoyed being in an all transfer class my first semester on campus. It helped me meet some of my close friends and get to hear stories that were similar to mine. Right away I was able to feel at peace and connect with others who were in the same boat as me. As a transfer, how would you describe your experience as part of the IWU community? I feel very connected with the IWU community. It is easy to meet people in your major because of the small class sizes and the welcoming professors. I also feel like there are many opportunities to get involved with oncampus and off-campus activities.

MAJOR:PSYCHOLOGY/PRE-MEDICAL SCIENCE GRAD YEAR: 2019

If you're considering transferring, wait for that feeling of belonging. I know when I chose my first school, I didn't know what that "perfect school" feeling should feel like. However, after making the decision to attend IWU after my sophomore year, it was so obvious that this was where I was called to be. I also think it is a good idea to research the major programs and classes required of you, and, if possible, visit the campus. What encouragement do you have for transfer students? Indiana Wesleyan University has been the best decision I have made in my life. Bar none. I don't pretend to guarantee that it will be that way for everyone, but I know that anyone who steps on this campus will feel the difference. You will be hard pressed to find a staff, a community, or even an entire university more dedicated to YOUR success and YOUR growth. I know in all the confusion of switching schools and questioning my future, IWU was the one place where all the dust settled and the choice became clear. 2020 The World is Waiting 9

expensive, annual increases in tuition and fees are growing at a slower rate than other private fouryear colleges. IWU’s tuition is $2,600 less per year than the average 2020-2021 tuition of the six CCCU member institutions in Indiana.
