SITUATION: FEMA came into Volusia County, FL about a month before Hurricane Idalia in ’23. They inspected some of their coastal areas that were severely impacted with flooding during Hurricane Ian in ’22. FEMA specifically recommended NGP’s Door Flood Barrier Shield, 34" Barrier, funded with FEMA dollars, and mentioned this can be purchased through Grainger. These barrier shields go up and are deployed to block or reroute flooding. Highly recommended by FEMA and FIMA partners.

*Side Note: While funding was initially approved back in Nov ‘23, Volusia Co waited 2-3 months for FEMA funding to arrive. Timing for upcoming Hurricane season is critical to get FEMA funding approved, ordered and installed.
