MEET THE ARTIST Indo is a Sydney based artist / illustrator / graphic designer / activist who has been in the Australian street art scene for over 5 years. His Sculptures, wheat-pasted images, stencils and stickers have featured prominently across the urban landscape and the streets surrounding him, once viewed as an open park, are now interpreted as potential exhibition space. Indo was born in Manly in 1982. “Going back to my youth, skateboarding & cartoon graphics in the 80’s and 90’s were definitely my first source of inspiration, and that runs deep inside me to this day. Skateboarding & Surfing defined me.” Inspired in part by skateboard culture, Pop Art, Music, Hip hop, Grunge and graphic design, his work is an extension of the graffiti he started doing back in 2008. Now a Professional Street Artist, INDO’s had the opportunity to work along side The Rolling Stone Magazine, Sony BMG, Fuel TV, ING Direct Bank, The Royal Womens Hospital, Rekorderlig, The Maritime Union of Australia, Uniting Care, I-Manifest, Warringah Council & AMP. Indo’s works have appeared in MX Magazine | Sydney & Melbourne, The Daily Telegraph, The Brag, The Manly Daily, & B&T Website. What does the future hold for Indo? In an interview he said, “I think at the very least you’ve got to keep pushing yourself, exploring new mediums - create more art installations & activations, get involved with councils and private companies, explore live art performances, travel doing what I love. As a Professional artist you learn to adapt new styles and deliver to budgets, meeting clients expectations & enjoy the process.

LIVE ART PERFORMANCE “There’s an instant energy in the air - when you create art in front of a live audience, people feel connected to the creative process - its almost as tho they become an artist for that particular moment in time. I enjoy sharing this Not many artists can create a finished piece in under an hour, its one of the many reasons, street art has mass appeal.”
