Our fourth annual State of the Art event in 2025 raised over $230,000 while inspiring our community with an unforgettable night of magical creativity

VIDEO OVERVIEW OF SOTA

INDIVISIBLE ARTS is a South Bay 501(c)(3) dedicated to cultivating creativity, consciousness, and connection through the arts.

From the local foster care system to students who have no art in their schools –Indivisible Arts is on the front lines teaching creativity, consciousness and emotional resiliency tools while making sure all students have access to art.

We are on the precipice of a mental health crisis and we know that creativity, consciousness, connection and community are critical parts of the holistic solution.

The Current State of Mental Health in the U.S.

• 90% of US adults say the United States is experiencing a mental health crisis – CNN/Kaiser Family Foundation – 10/5/22

•61.5 million U.S. adults experienced mental illness in 2024 (23.4%) – National Alliance on Mental Illness (2024)

• 48,800 suicide deaths were reported in 2024— AP News (2024)

• 42.5 million adults in America su er from anxiety disorders (Mental Health America)

•Mental illness costs the U.S. economy approximately $282 billion annually. (Yale News).

Mental Health and Gen Z (ages 7–23)

• 86% say mental health is as or more important than physical health – PHM

• 96% of them report dealing with anxiety today – PHM

• 46% report experiencing anxiety frequently or all the time – PHM

• 57% of HS females have persistent feelings of sadness and hopelessness in 2023 (NBC News, 2023)

• Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death among people aged 15–34 – CDC, 2021

Mental Health and Addiction

• Drug overdose deaths reached a record high of 93,331 in 2020 – CDC Wonder 2020, (NVSS)

• In 2012, more than 255 million opioid prescriptions were dispensed a rate of 81.3 prescriptions per 100 Americans (CDC, 2021)

Mental Health Addiction and Screens

• We tap, swipe, and click on our phones 2,617 times per day (King Online University – 2019).

• The average smartphone owner unlocks their phone 150 times a day (Internet Trends – 2019).

• 87% of Millennials say their smartphone never leaves their side (Zogby – 2019).

• 60% of college students say they are addicted to their phones (Baylor – 2019).

• Screen time spiked to over 13 hours/day during COVID-19 (Eyesafe Nielsen, 2020)

• Children (11–14) spend about 9 hours a day in front of a screen using entertainment media (CDC, 2021)

In 2025, we impacted

4,655 SESSIONS totaling over 7,355 HOURS of programming

Evaluation

Evaluation data amassed has proven this course to be 90% e ective (or more) in greatly increasing students ability to:

-Listen to Other’s Perspectives

-Communicate E ectively -Problem Solve

-Recognize Strengths in Oneself

For the next year, we are looking to raise $400k in support so that we can increase accessibility for youth living east of the beach cities in areas of unequal opportunity

We are connected to all schools in South Bay and their Principals, art teachers, and counselors – as well as partners on existing programs with Walk With Sally, Friendship Foundation, and DaVinci RISE to ensure we get the program to the kids who need it and want it. We are also open and willing to partner with groups and students of your choosing for your scholarship-focused donation.

Artists may choose one of the following contribution options:

Key logistics:

Artwork is shipped to Indivisible Arts by May 1 for annual fundraiser State of the Art (SOTA)

Once received, the work remains with us until sold

If a split is selected, artist payment is issued promptly post-sale

Works not sold at SOTA will be sold by Indivisible Arts as part of their Cause Collection (contribution will be honored)
