Road to Resilience, Memories that Move Us Forward: StoryCorps Road to Resilience: Memories that Move Us Forward is a partnership with u StoryCorps that emphasizes the power of storytelling to help children cope with loss. u StoryCorps DIY launched in 2019 and is an online course for organizations supporting children and families through bereavement, including how to create a safe space and dialogue and a toolkit to navigate conversations around grief.
Kai’s Journey Grief is a universal experience but at the same time unique and deeply personal. To help others on their individual journey, the New York Life Foundation created a three-part animated series and children’s book that chronicles a child’s journey through loss, grief, resiliency, and healing. The foundation recently released the first installment of u Kai’s Journey: The Golden Sweater with proceeds from a dollar-per-download campaign going to grief and trauma organizations, including u Eluna, u Comfort Zone Camp, u National Alliance for Grieving Children, and u Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS).

Finding a Creative Outlet: Alliance for Young Artists & Writers Sometimes bereavement can be difficult to put into words, and creative expression is the only way to share these emotions. New York Life offered a scholarship program with the u Alliance for Young Artists & Writers to offer students a creative outlet and financial support for their future.
