GNFKS celebrates Easter Nominations open for 2022 Lord Mayor’s Multicultural Awards for Business

On 19th of April, 2022, the volunteers of Guru Nanak’s Free Kitchenette Sydney(GNFKS) celebrated Easter with the Homeless of Sydney by serving free jaffles from Pocket Rocketz Food Truck at Prince Alfred Square, Parramatta.

• Multicultural Business Person of the Year - This award recognises a multicultural Brisbane business leader who successfully exports their products and services from Brisbane, throughout Australia, and/or across Asia Pacific or internationally. The award celebrates the recipient’s contribution to the Brisbane economy and recognises them as a local champion of enterprise with a global outlook for their business.

• Nick Xynias Multicultural Young Business Person of the Year - This award recognises the success, creativity and energy

• Multicultural Entrepreneur of the Year - This award recognises a multicultural Brisbane business leader whose business

The Lord Mayor’s Multicultural Awards for Business celebrate and recognise the contribution multicultural businesses make to the Brisbane economy and community through their creativity, innovation and resilience. Nominations are open until 11.59PM, Sunday 12 June 2022.

The recipient will personify the best in entrepreneurialism, possessing qualities from clear leadership and sound management to determination and ambition. Finalists will be invited to attend the 2022 Lord Mayor’s Multicultural Business Dinner and Awards on Friday 9 September 2022 and the winners will be announced during the event.

Labor campaign 2022 launched for Division of Rankin MP Jim Chalmers along with Senator Katy Gallagher launched the Labor party campaign for Division of Rankin on April 23 at Diggers Services Club. Enlightening speeches were delivered by Wayne Swan, National President of the Labor Party; erstwhile Deputy Prime Minister of Australia Anthony Albanese and Deputy Leader of the Labor Party, and the Deputy Leader of the Opposition since May 2019 Richard Marles, Senator for the Australian Capital Territory, representing the Australian Labor Party and Shadow Minister for Finance and Public Service Senator Katy Gallagher.
