There are larger engineering colleges. But we believe smaller is better.

At Indiana Tech, most classes are 10 to 15 students, all taught by either full-time professors or adjunct instructors who are also working professionals. There are no grad assistants managing labs or teaching 100-person survey classes here. Your instructors will know your name, your interests and your goals. They’ll personally guide you as you develop expertise and a career direction.

Changing the world, one capstone at a time.

Engaging in hands-on projects is an ideal way for students to prepare for the real world. By conceiving, managing and completing projects, students demonstrate qualities that employers are seeking—curiosity, discipline and focus.

Nationally recognized cybersecurity education.

As more and more high-profile corporations experience debilitating cyberattacks that negatively affect their reputations and their profitability, the need grows for talented cybersecurity professionals to help them defend their digital infrastructures.

That’s why Indiana Tech introduced its cybersecurity degree program in 2016—to develop top-notch professionals who are proficient in combating cybercriminals at all levels of enterprise. We are succeeding, too, as graduates from our program have been hired by companies like Microsoft, Lincoln Financial Group and Emerson Electric Co.

What’s more, Indiana Tech has been designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) by the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for delivering high-quality cybersecurity education.

A launching pad for outstanding cybersecurity strategists.

I ndiana Tech’s cyber competition team, the Cyber Warriors, has won Indiana’s Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition 18 of 20 times. In 2025, they finished sixth in the nation. All full-time team members from the past 10 years earned jobs right after graduation.

JESSICA HARTMUS AND PROFESSOR NAGA MUSUNURI

CHAIR OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING, ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

• TEACHING AT TECH SINCE 2018

• ADVISOR FOR THE UNIVERSITY’S ASME (AMERICAN SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS) CHAPTER

• MEMBER OF THE CENTRAL INDIANA SECTION (CIS-ASME), THE SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH HONOR SOCIETY, SIGMA XI, AND THE AMERICAN SOCIETY FOR ENGINEERING EDUCATION (ASEE)

Naga taught my very first lecture on my first day of college, and he has played an important role ever since as a professor, advisor and friend. Throughout my four years, Naga has always challenged me to find those stronger and simpler engineering designs, no matter how out-of-the-box or surprising those solutions were. Naga has never failed to make engineering an exciting and engaging adventure.
