A GLOBAL MINDSET

Global leadership is a multidisciplinary field of study that is exciting for both practitioners and scholars. It focuses on the globally-minded, culturally-competent, socially-responsible individuals who lead transnational organizations in every sector of the global economy. It addresses

followers as they define the global leader and share the global leader’s vision. Furthermore, global leadership examines organizational systems within complex external and internal environments where interaction between global leaders and followers takes place.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT NEEDS IN THE PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECTORS

Students entering this course of study can expect to:

À Receive advanced training and skills in research, organizational leadership or academic leadership, which will culminate in a terminal degree. The skills provide the foundation for discovering knowledge in leadership fields and for applying that knowledge to the emerging global environment.

À Earn a doctoral degree, with the intention to lead, teach or consult in related disciplines.

À Develop professional expertise that will advance or change a career.

À Earn the credentials necessary to further develop into an executive leadership role in public, private, educational, corporate or professional organizations.
