Eating at Indiana State Eating your meals in the ISU dining halls offers variety, convenience, and great taste. The ISU Plan is a prepaid system of credits and cash that lets you eat in a dining hall, choose from a variety of meal times, and save money, time and the effort of preparing your own meals.

Commons Cash As part of purchasing the ISU Plan you also receive Commons Cash—a specified amount of money (usually about $100 per semester) that can be used to eat in the Commons food court of Hulman Memorial Student Union. Here you have a choice of restaurants that include: • Burger King • Einstein Bros. Bagels • Mein Bowl Authentic Asian Cuisine • Pizza Hut • Sub Connection • Taco Bell

College of Variety, Choice, Nursing, andHealth Convenience and Human Services

You pay for the ISU Plan as part of your residence hall fees. Over 1,300 credits will be applied to your student ID card each semester to be used to purchase meals in the dining halls. Each meal has an assigned number of credits; for example breakfast is six credits. Meals are all you can eat— and there’s a lot for you to eat. Food options include: • Breakfast (you can create your own omelet) • Fresh salads • Sandwiches • Pizza • Specially cooked meals • Hot foods and meals just like at home • Snacks (including healthy fruits and vegetables) • Special dietary meals (these can be prepared with advance notice to the food service staff)

Once you pay for your ISU Plan, the credits are yours as long as you continue to live on campus. At the end of each year, your credit points (those credits used for eating in the residence hall) are converted to Commons Cash to be used in the food court. Make the decision to take advantage of ISU’s residence hall dining facilities. They’re convenient, easy, inexpensive, and varied. www.indstate.edu/admissions
