HOW DOES RESVERATROL WORK?

Traditional NSAIDs such as carprofen, meloxicam and firocoxib inhibit the inflammatory COX-2 enzyme after it already has been produced by the body and is creating pain and inflammation. Resveratrol inhibits the genes that create and release proinflammatory mediators. By exerting an effect on the actual genes involved in inflammation, resveratrol effectively lowers concentrations of multiple inflammatory mediators within the body.
