A Letter from Our CEO

As is the case each year, our momentum and success cannot be possible without the investment of passionate community supporters who continue to give generously. Because of our supportive community, Morgan’s can continue being the innovative leader for Ultra-Accessibility™ and Inclusion.

Investing in inclusion opens endless opportunities that empower our friends with special needs or disabilities to improve their overall quality of life and for their families and caregivers. The statement still rings true: Together, we ARE making a difference! Thank you for your commitment and for another wonderful year filled with JOY.

Yours in Inclusion,

Everyone is familiar with Morgan’s Wonderland and its iconic butterfly – it’s where our story of inclusion began and has led to the multiple entities under the Morgan’s umbrella. With the tremendous growth, it was time to refresh our brand and enforce brand consistency to tie every Morgan’s entity together while allowing each entity to be unique. Instead of Morgan’s Inclusion Initiative serving as the umbrella organization over all entities, it is now referred to as “Morgan’s.”

Morgan’s is more than a nonprofit organization; it’s a movement of inclusion. Our 501c(3) oversees five Ultra-Accessible™, fully-inclusive facilities, including: Morgan’s Wonderland, Morgan’s Inspiration Island, Morgan’s Sports, Morgan’s Camp, and Morgan’s MAC (Multi-Assistance Center). At our core, we believe everyone deserves the right to enjoy and experience life, regardless of cognitive or physical ability. By removing barriers, we help bring together people of all abilities to better understand each other and build friendships to make a better world.

Our Journey of Inclusion

PAGE 4

From the very beginning, anyone with a special need has been admitted free of charge, thanks to the generosity of our donors and sponsors. It is Morgan’s sincere hope that everyone with a special need – young or older, healthy or ailing, introspective or outgoing – will be touched extraordinarily by Morgan’s Wonderland: a shrine of inclusion, an oasis of friendship, an unforgettable wonderland…Morgan’s Wonderland!

What is Morgan’s Wonderland’s mission? To provide a fun, clean, and beautiful environment free of physical and economic barriers that all individuals can come to and enjoy regardless of age or ability.

The phenomenal success of Morgan's Wonderland led to Morgan's Inspiration Island's debut in 2017. This award-winning splash park is an Ultra-Accessible™ tropical island paradise with five colorful splash pads, a River Boat Adventure Ride, and three types of revolutionary waterproof wheelchairs which are provided free of charge. Morgan's Inspiration Island earned instant international recognition by virtue of being named in TIME magazine's list of the “World's Greatest Places” in 2018.

Working at Morgan’s Camp has truly been one of the biggest blessings for both me and my son Cody. Morgan’s gives families the opportunity to experience inclusion, that outside world tends to forget, and that our kids need and deserve. I look forward to next year’s 22q Camp Texas, as we will be among the campers!

Inviting Everyone to Be Invested in the future of Morgan’s.

Investing involves risk, but prudent investing can reap huge rewards. That’s been the story of Morgan’s and its deep desire to build a more-inclusive world through innovation and perseverance.

The Morgan’s investment in inclusion began as an unsettling incident at a hotel swimming pool, but that circumstance convinced a father with a daughter with special needs to make inclusion the mission. The rejection of Morgan Hartman, who simply wanted to interact with other kids who did not understand her, made Gordon Hartman proverbially “see the light” and launch an inclusion movement. The phenomenal success of Morgan’s Wonderland has led to other unique Morgan’s initiatives and the growing reputation of San Antonio as “Inclusion City, USA”. We don’t just talk about it. We create inclusive opportunities.
